audio help:amp not working

my amp is making a high pitch sound to the sub, and no other sound, the wires are correctly installed, i think the amp is ****ed, can any help or ever have this problem?thanx

That's weird.. does your amp have built in crossovers? Try playing around with them. If that's not it, check all your connections again.

nope, no crossovers, u know usually when an amp blew is it that the power totally gone like u cant turn it on?

Normally the actual components of the amp wouldn't blow. The first thing to go would be the fuse, check that but I'm guessing that's not it seeing as you are getting some kinda sound to your subs.

I'm lost as to what it could be unless I took a look at it myself.
