Hood Trim Piece Removal Help

Hey everyone...... in need of help right now....... how do I remove the trim piece on the hood?....... anyone do this before?..... any pointers would be of great help.

i think he means the plastic piece at the front of the hood. but i don't know how to remove it

ummm....lift the hood, there should be 4 bolts that attach the trim piece...take them off. then in the centre there is like a plastic peg in the middle...you have to squeeze it and push the whole piece out. its been a long long time since ive done this so i hope thats correct.

Man! the centre clip is the hardest to take off! i got pissed of at it so i just snaped the whole thing off

its basically 4 bolts...you unscrew ...when you lift the hood right underneath the trim piece

holy **** that thing is held in there with some many screws and clips!
no wonder i couldn't take it off after i took off the four that were under the hood. guess i'll hafta give it another try tonight..... if all else fails, i'll just do what Blkcivic did and snap it off!

i dont think snapping it off is the best idea [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG] just give it some TLC or else u might regret it

yeah, dont snap it off...just take your time, even get some else to hold the piece off the car while you ease the clip out!

the whole reason behind me taking it off was to install a colour coded one. i thought about painting the chrome one, but i doubt it'll look any good!
