Same price everywhere.. but get it now, it's on sale for $219.99 WITHOUT a contract. Or even cheaper with contract... after Christmas, it's going back to regular price of $299.99
not sure if this works in Ontario... i also didn't read the whole thread... but it seems
like some people got it for $269.99 + tax
I assume you can then sign a contract to get $50 off, not sure how that works...
You should check out howardforums...
but here is the link to the thread i was talking about

just wonderin if the a520 is any good. (the color screen one)
the last full color screen one had the worst battery life, i hope its no the same for this phone.
i think the prices are all the same everywhere.

To answer all of your questions, I work for Telus and am also the proud owner of the Samsung A520. The phone was released at $299.99 and will be going up to $399.99 as of January 1. If people want my staff discount I can take 25% off the price for probably maximum 5 people. This would bring the price down to $225 + tax. Signing a 1 year contract will give you a $50 credit to your phone bill. Telus will give you a 60-day trial period to use your phone and decide if you'd really like the contract.
As for the battery, it'll last 5 days if you never open it and just have it turned on, but I normally charge mine every 2 days or so. The screen it 1000% better then the Sanyo 5000 (the previous colour screen by Telus) and is super-clear and super-bright!
I love mine

i have to admit dsomething. i have had many cell phones and with different companies...by far telus and fido have been the best. i dont like telus cuz they bill by the minute but give me really good service. my phones have been replaced 3 times and have never given me a hassle about it. the forst phone was a problem that was recalled on all those phones or something like that...and the one i have now is just messed up....its not from me but they are fixing it. i have had cantel and rogers and they are crappty....they have good rates but bad reception....trying taking your phone to the states...they get you in roaming charges. Bell is alright...
but ithink telus is good.....plus you get rebates on your phone and stuff, but i think other companies have that as well

i think all the companies are by the minute... except maybe fido for their monthly plans...
unless you were already on a plan that was billed by the second...
too bad rogers had billing by the second after the first minute...
the phone that lights up blue?
Samsung A540?

the 50 mins aree billed by the minute. there is a download fee, but you don't get charged for the airtime that you use while on the browser. you can get a data kit to use with your laptop/pc, but it won't help you download stuff, its only for wireless web. congrats on the new phone
