you can get about half your money back if you can find someone that toasted their auto outside warranty coverage

Well if your putting a manual tranny in....you then have a functionaing automatic tranny left over...which you can later sell to somebody who's warranty ran out and blew ther auto tranny

he sold his 98 Jetta for 24000 and a 94 Camry for 5000 or so.

He got a 2000 Celica for 28000.

I don't even know how he sold both of those cars when they weren't in his name. lol

I just remember the mom calling and and said she's stuck at home because the camry's gone and the new car is a manual.

=)

It will cost around $3000 incl. labour. Most mechanics and people will tell you its not worth the money or trouble. It wouldn't perform as well as a car that came originally with a manual transmission. The Civic is not a fast car regardless of manual or auto. I would just mod the Civic the way it is, and when the time comes, save up for a better car and get a manual than. Say a Type S.

why do people always say changing trans will not be the same as stock. it may and it may not be as good as an original manual but it functions the same if properly assembled. u don't see people talking about engine swaps saying don't do it because it won't be like the original car that had that engine and blah blah blah.
