it won't start.. i just makes this whining nose and it also kinda bounces...
i don't know why.. the battery thing showed up on the dash.. but that's impossible
i've only had my car for a year.. =(

Do you have an upgraded audio system in your car (IE, you have amps)? If so, have you been listening to it with the engine off? That hurts the battery bigtime.

once a friend of mine couldn't start his engine and he smelt sumthing burning, he opened up his hood and saw a dead cat cookin under the hood. so did u check under ur hood?

does tha engine start for a second then turns off? i had that troub;e wit ma sis car once i just kept on tryin and it started.....but if the engine doesn't start at all i'm pretty sure that its the battery

i'm not sure i think so, i neva had a dead battery b4.......try rollin down tha windows and see how fast they are goin, if they're goin slower then usual its probadly the battery

If the battery was dead, no, neither of these would work.

If the battery needs to be charged (say if you left your lights on), yes, these two might work.

Try and jump the engine, if it doesn't work, it might be a dead battery.

that stuff could still work..
thing is you might not have enuf juice to crank the starter..

i've seen stereo work, headlights, windows all be usable, but not enuf "cranking" amps to fire..
if it turns out to be what it is replace it with something higher in cranking amps (1000 would be ideal..)

I know how it feels like.

I killed my car on the VERY FIRST DAY, I was so used to driving with automatic lights.. I had it left on for 3hrs in the bowling alley parking lot. and being it the first day, and never bothering to read the manual, I thought the 'beep' [the headlight-on warning sound]was for the doors opening or something along the line.

I caled honda, and they wanted to charge me, what our cars dont come with free roadside assistance? Fortunately some guy jumped my car, and it's been okay since.[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]

it could still be the battery, i killed my battery like 3-4 times and keyless entry works and so does radio....... but the car wouldn't start

go buy yourself a voltmeter at a hardware store for $10.. hook it on the terminals of the batt, and you'll see if its dead or not

i've had that problem b4, but i have subs woffer.and i'll try listening when my engine is off..
now i don't do it..cause i don't want it to died..
