Anyone having problems with their car?

Well, so far my honda has more problems than my 92 corolla.

1. The body dents extremely easily, use your thumb and just gently press in a spot, it makes an instant ding.

2. The paint chips, i was just cleaning off a dirty spot and the paint just chipped. a small piece fell off.

3. i thought it's normal but it's extremely bouncy, i was in my gf's civic sedan and her's felt very good. When i hit a pot hole, it feels EXACTLY like a car ramming up a curb.

4. hard to shift into 2nd gear

5. first gears and reverse grinds 90% of the time.

6. my hand brake is a bit messed, i adjusted it to 2 clicks. Now, it clicks 4 times and i gotta fully pull it just for a small slope. odd.

7. Clutch sqeaks sometimes.

8. Service sucks badly.

It's a great car, but Honda should really TRY to make quality products.

If all these things continue to break, I'm going to get a new car in 3 years.

1. My tranny died
2. Interior rattles
3. Poor rear shock damping
4. Viberation in rain
5. Taillight bulbs burnt out pre-maturely
6. Vent issues
7. More rattles
8. Plastic bits fell off (under the seat)

Other then that, perfectly reliable. You'd almost think it was a Toyota.

Oh, and I also felt the 2001 coupe bounces like mad. The 2002 (both coupe and sedan) were stiffer at the back, but stiff enough to be harsh at times. Bad suspension design. Glad I got rid of them stock parts.

I share all your pain... but does the 2002 SiR share the same symptoms? I was at roadsport on the weekend trying to get a price quote on a SiR... cuz I know their sales isn't that good... but on the road it's still come out to be $28,950...

Back when I bought my car it was $27000 tax in with extended warranty. So $28xxx for the SiR isn't all that bad.

My engine light came on last week, I still have to take it in for service, I am going this week, but I have an Injen SRI, and I dont want to take it out, but then warranty may not cover if SRI is the cause of the problem. So dumb. I don't see how a one year old car has a problem with the engine??

well if I can ge the warranty to cover it then it should be up an running by Spring time. However, if warranty don't cover the new engine then it's time for maybe an SiR engine or the RSX...

My signal light was disfunctional the day I picked up the car.

My driver side floor mat is not tied down to anything (keeps shifting around)

There is some peice of plastic sticking out of the cover for the speedometer, fuel guage, etc.

My mileage has been crappy the last few fill ups. This is making me nervous cause its getting worse.

The usual handling, suspension, acceleration, thin body panels, irregular mileage...
Anyone else also have trouble getting an accurate oil reading from the dipstick?

Exactly the same thing happened to me too. Something they missed on the PDI, I suppose.

The brakes vibrate for me too, must be a design flaw, or just cheap hardware.

I notice more weird smell turning on A/C than heat...

As for backend shaking, usually that means too much fat and need to lose some weight. j/k j/k j/k

Well I'm on my 3rd Tranny...can anyone beat that?? Cue did you get your intake installed at the Honda dealership??? In London I could get NOS installed and if my engine breaks, they'll give me a new one! If they install it they'll fix it if it f*ks up my car.
