7th gen Turbo Information

Here is a post I've taken from torontocivics.com.. it sounded interesting and if anyone has mad money and wants to look into it then i'd really like to hear about it.

Just in case there are any 7th. gen civic owners looking to turbo your car, we can do it. Many people said it wouldn't work and HKS had many problems developing a kit and decided not to finish it. We have done it and it works well. I just finished building a kit and dynoed it tonight. It made 197whp at 8psi and 154whp at 4psi. These cars usually dyno right around 100whp stock. It is a complete custom kit and is only available with installation. I don't have the pics. yet but i'll post them when i get them. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call at the shop. Thanks
Tony
Jotech Motorsports in Dallas will do that custom turbo kit, installed and dyno tuned, for $6,600.
That's in U.S. dollars...The above post states that the complete custom kit is only available with installation. That means the only way of getting this kit is driving to Dallas. Have fun.

Ok Rev Hard is supposedly coming out with a turbo kit pretty soon.

HKS will offer a Turbo Manifold for the 2001+ EX(Si) this Winter. The turbo manifold helped make over 200 WHP. They will follow with a LX kit a few months after.

http://HKS Turbo]HKS Turbo

Turbo-Performance will also offer a turbo kit for $3000 U.S. T3/T4 hybrid turbo with I/C.

Turbo Performance

And members that have turbo:
MooCow
RiceBurnrEx 197 WHP & 8 PSI and look at the size of that Intercooler

That's it for now.

All right boys, you got me going now!

I purchased my kit from turbo performance out of Cali. The kit is completely custom. Right know they are having a couple problems with blitz and the people they get the turbo from. So I decided to only get the Intake manifold, exhaust manifold, intercooler, downpipe, and all the piping from them. So I still need to find a wastegate, bov, T3 turbo with 60 trim and I also have to figure out if I should convert my fuel system to return or just upgrade the return less one??? I am planning to get the Greddy Type S BOV, because it shoots the air back into the intake as oppose to releasing it into the atmosphere, to keep that sleeper impression. I am putting the kit on my car late Febuary or early March. That gives me plenty of time to tune it in time for race season. Also if I have any money left by the time the turbo us complete I would like to get a computer to control the car, either ALTECH or HONDA DATA. That would be so cool to have plus the car can be completely customized for different situations. I would have 4 different settings drag, cruise, emissions, and street. But that’s to far in the future. Anywoo as far as performance wise, I will have a boost control. By the looks of it for cruising I would have it at around 4psi and for racing about 10psi on stock internals. Now a company called ARIAS from the states is suppose to come out with pistons by spring so if they do I should be able to run 1 bar, easy. At 6psi the turbo should put out about 80hp at the wheels. 1 bar is 160hp at the wheels I predict while running a bar I should be running mid 13s in the 1/4 mile, 13.1 or 13.2 with some trix! If you guys have any question feel free to ask!

Ohh yah I am also going to get the nitrous N-TER COOLER by NX. The kit shoots nitrous through a tube that’s on the face on the intercooler and freezes it. Pretty cool hunh!

RedVic- Man I don't know what to say First Vic in Can East with boost? Hehe good work! Keep us updated. Your set up sounds sweet so far. Which performance shop are you going to, to have it installed? 1 bar sounds sweet, but that would take a lot of internal work! Hondata ECU for the Rsx made like 20 HP, so it sounds promising for the 7th Gen when they come out with one. Good choice for going the sleeper route. I'm assuming that by the air going back to the intake, the BOV will make virtually no noise correct? What kind of intercooler you got? Liquid or air?
