Thanks for this info. I've been looking into a group buy such as this. After I get registered with that fourm, I am definitely going to sign up for it. it sounds like a very good deal, and I need pros to install it.

I haven't been able to found out, but maybe you can answer a couple of Q's for me.

1) Does it have remote starter?
2) Keyless entry?

Is an alarm really worth the money? I agree $450 seems to be a good price but I've gotten mixed comments on how useful alarms are and also that alarms with remote starters void the electric warranty on the car (says Action Honda)...

for real protection, no, this alarm is not worth it, viper alarm is better, but for starter, pager, all kinda stupid stuff, its worth it, i regret spending that much on this alarm, but for 500 installed its a fairly good deal

Ah, as I thought... I'll pass on this one. More places to spend $500 at this point, not on alarm...

Well, $500 is a lot of money. But I am also looking at the included remote starter system and keyless entry...

As far as protection goes, if somebody wants my car bad enough, I'm sure they'll get it. If they are professionals. I just want to discourage punks who might wanna try something cute.

I gotta have the remote starter though.. I hate having to sit in the car while it worms up, because it's -10 degrees outside.

Keyless is also a must.. tired of opening the door for my girlfriend.

01coupe, it includes keyless entry and remote starter.

here's the link to the features that comes with this groupbuy.

http://www.compustar.org/products/2WFM_features.html

hey macrossranma,
i'm just wondering why you said the viper was better?
is that from personal experience or ?

also is it possible to turn off the pager once it goes off?
i can't remember where I heard it, but someone told me you couldn't
turn off the pager?? that didn't seem like a feature that would not be
added for such an alarm

the price for this seems very good...

According to Action Honda they say that if the alarm requires splicing into stock wiring (i.e., for auto-start) it voids the warranty on the electrical.

lol, damn, o well, just make sure the person who installed it is professional, nothing wrong with my car so far with this alarm, i like that function where u shut off the car, leave the car for like a 100 yards and than the alarm with activate itself if u go over 100 yards and than it will deactivate when u come back within 100 yards, but somehow i cant get the autostart to work with this function on, Eric, can u get the autostart working with this function?or anyone?

I'll be damned if someone breaks into my car while I am takin a dump in a washroom within a 100 yards

Can you adjust it, so it's like 5 yards or something?

What's the chance of you taking a dump within 3-5 car lengths of your car now, 01Coupe?
