Just to let you guys know the rear is cut exactly one coil. It is supposed to be this way for a coupe.
When neuspeeds first came out there was only one model for both 2 dr and 4 dr. If you put this model of springs on a coupe it looks strange 'cause the rear is high with a jack rabbit stance. Neuspeed recommended you to cut exactly one coil off each rear spring for coupes. This does not affect the spring or spring rate in any way.
If you look at a lowering spring there are dead coils ( the coils that rest on each other from the weight of the car.) cutting one of these dead coils out will lower your car more and not affect the spring rate. Very different scenario with stock springs. Do not cut stock springs!
Anyways, If you call neuspeed and ask, they used to recommend the cutting of one coil. Now the coupe model springs are in mass production so that old trick is unnecessary.
If you guys noticed 4 dr and 2 dr springs are not interchangeable. You can use one on the other but it looks strange. Thats why H&R doesn't recommend you to put their springs on a 4 dr and 4dr springs look funny on a coupe.
Most if not all neuspeed sports in Canada are still the older model designed for 2dr or 4dr. If you put this model of spring on the 2 dr you have to cut or it will look strange.
am I making any sense?
