Rep Power: 0 my fellow civic owners with Groundcontrol coilovers
hey i was wondering if u guys are hitting the bumpstops at all??
im about to get Brantford HONDA to install mine..... they are the cheapest i found yet!
and plus i get a 3year warranty for it,,, or 60,000kms whatever comes first!
anyways, is there any problems?? with hitting bumstops?? or blowing struts.???
i herad there the best coilovers for your cars???
compared to RACTIVE and crap like that... but Tein also makes a good set but i aint spending $1500 id rather go hydrolics!
gimme some input on ride quality and quality of the coilovers
thanks a whole bunch!

Rep Power: 0 Hydrolics? Are you serious? Teins are true coilovers meaning they have built in performance shocks with the coilovers, not just the sleeved kinda that you get.
IMO $1500 would be a good price for Teins as the H&R cup kit with H&R springs and Konis bundled cost $1200 from Gusto (very good price). You will likely start hating the coilovers soon for the uncomfortable ride and wish you got the Teins.
If Honda's doing yours, see if you can scam them into still warranting your shocks during these 3 years. If so, you're getting a good deal. If not, I'm sure Honda is charging you an arm and a leg for them, so you're better off saving up and getting it done cheaper at a good shop.
Coilovers bounce a lot more than springs (most of them I guess). I'm not a fan of em, so I don't know too much about them. I think one company makes them with Eibach springs (GC I think) so you might look into those.

Rep Power: 0 REV on McCowan and 7th carries tien coil-overs.
IMO the tein's are the better buy. w/ ground control youre lookin at about 600 and then youre gonna need new dampers and even then you'll probably run through them in about 2 years or so.
