No height restrictions/wheel size on cars in Ont
"In Ontario, there are no height restrictions on modified vehicles or any restrictions on size of tires. Expert witness David McAllister, crash investigation team leader at Virginia Commonwealth University, outlined results of a groundbreaking study of collisions involving raised vehicles. The 1991 study in Virginia revealed 234 deaths per thousand collisions involving high-rise vehicles compared to fewer than seven deaths per thousand collisions involving stock pickup trucks."
Hmph.... I dunno... Awhile ago I remember posting a news article in which an S4 was pulled over on the 407 for doing speeding, but got his car impounded because it was lowered.... Guess these news guys really need to word things out more specifically (i.e. maybe it's ok to LIFT a car however high you want, but not LOWER a car)...
That reminds me of that photochopped Monster Truck Civic

Your vehicle will be immediately impounded if the tire makes contact with the body of the car. They'll ask you to turn your wheel fully to one or the other side and any contact they witness will be cause for impounding.
This falls somewhere into the unsafe to drive catagorization. It's not a regular traffic violation.
