Plz help me decide - DC strut bar

Got hooked up with Tornactive at the Marketplace with $165US shipped to Canada... I know it's usually around 3 bills CDN and Psychotic Racing lists it as $280... $165US is approx. $264 on 1.6...

I've got maybe a day or two to PayPal him money, so I'd like you guys to help me out! Is it a good deal or should I save that and get it local?

If you guys think it's good I'll get it. Plz don't tell me it's worth it coz I have the money.

Actually, I thought there was no duty/brokerage fee on items less than $200US? I got my dash kit which was under $200 and it cost me only $20 in brokerage through UPS...

Boo: do you have the neuspeed front upper strut bar or trunk bar?

second, i thought both DC and Neuspeed bar would clear and allow room for SRI or CAI????

That's the story, and that's why I'm thinking of DC, coz I'm getting a CAI from Gusto. Wouldn't mind a cheap Neuspeed either really...

from my previous research in the other forum, both bars should clear enough room for the CAI or SRI
i could be wrong but do check it up on this before u buy one. i like both bar but for the price i will definitely go with Neuspeed cuz it is under $200 CDN local and DC is way expensive than neuspeed for sure

Yah, Hi Tech said $330 for DC , Tenzo won't fit the CAI.

I won't mind if your price is $10~$20 different from out there, I'll get it from you since you'll put it on for me, right!

The Neuspeed and "Real" DC Sports strut bars have no problem with intakes (pls. double check for cretain CAI's though) because they go around the intakes.

The generic ones don't work, they make contact with the intake.

didn't somebody's "generic" rear strut bar bend like the first day it was installed...lol...I think I remember a post a while back reporting that...

in the end, if you have or plan on getting an intake, only DC or Neuspeed will fit with it...

I wish I could get my hands on a Neuspeed...

ya...the neuspeeds are nice....dc's nice too.....
whatever though, both have pros and cons

I think I'll get a Neuspeed to stiffen up the front a bit. No point adjusting the Koni's without a bar to hold up the front... Didn't want to get the knockoffs coz Hi Tech warned me it's dangerous to have those with a lowered car.

Whenever the next time opportunity knocks I'll get the Neuspeed.

yeah, get the neuspeed. I have it and it's great, can really feel the difference in turns. I'm also waiting for the dc lower tie bar to come in, I got it off ebay for only 51dollars U.S. used. Good luck with your choice.

I had the DC Sports. I SOLD it though. I didn't like it. It's a 5 piece design and the little screws that hold the 3 piece central brace together get loose after a while. Maybe LOCTITE would hold them in place, but why bother? It's a defective design. I have my eyes set on either the Mugen strut bar for the RSX, or the SPR strut bars that are sold overseas. The SPR strut bars are just like the APR strut bars. Although the rear one looks like it's from the same design as the front one. However, APR only has the front one, so SPR might actually be the originator of the design. Anyway, the front is $80 and the rear is $60. I can get them from DogStyleEX, but the shipping won't be pretty. The APR strut bar is $140 in comparison.
