Anyone have any suggestions? i REALLY want one even though i think it's pretty useless. Looked at FutureSHop. Sony. etc. but i have no idea which one is good and not so expensive.

I guess it depends what you're looking for, I don't really see much point in getting a normal cd deck. Personally I would get something like an mp3 deck. For those Kenwood's good, so is Pioneer and I heard JVC isn't too bad especially for the price.
hehe.. i wouldnt go to futureshop!!.. go to one of the audio shops and see if u can get a deal..
get like a panasonic..if u love the graphics... deck..!
like u have to know what kind of deck u want..
200-300 can get u a pretty decent one..

Pioneers are like $500-$5000, lol.
Dude, your best bet is to go with JVC or Sony. That was my plan initially too. But I decided mind as well spend a bit more, now nitehawk and I are getting the Kenwood 619 deck for $400 tax in installed, damn, can't wait till it's in stock....

JVC makes awesome T-Shirts...half decent HU's...but awesome T-Shirts.... Sony's high end models are good..their lower end stuff is garbage...Pioneer, Clarion, Alpine, Eclipse, Panasonic, Nakamichi and Kenwood are some good reliable brands... For that price range a Clarion 325Z would sound awesome.. a Pioneer 3300 would be good..Panasonic makes one for that price with a display if your into that
my friend got a nice JVC at futureshop.. i think it cost around 300... its a single din with a black face... when its on it just lights up the whole facea nd it has a little panel that comes out....
Drifting away in time and space...

I say get an mp3 player! those things are awesome! I went to Montreal this weekend (from Ottawa) and listened to only one CD the whole way there and back without having heard the same song twice! he he! it's totaly worth it!
I paid 500$ for my JVC one, but i think there's a cheeper one that's around 300$

Sony's lowend MP30 unit is a bit more than 300, Kenwood 619 at $400, and Pioneer 7400 at $500. JVC's is cheaper than Sony's for $300 but I personally doubt JVC's quality (I like their mini-systems though).
You might be better off with a Pioneer 3400 and a changer if you won't have 10 or so MP3 CDs, coz it's not worth the extra money if you're just gonna end up with audio CDs.

All standard size decks are usually single DIN.
Double DIN units are those that are double the height of the standard decks. They're also referred to as special fit decks.
So Pioneer 3400, 7400 etc.. are all single DIN.

nitehawk and I had a great deal with Kenwood. $400 all-in for 619 (retail $400)... I think you missed it, unless nitehawk can still get the guy to order more... PM him.
