haha 20 pounds sounds okay. i hear there is a new way of forging rims now where they weigh about 12 pounds or so.
if i can find Si rims then i'm going for 'cheap,' if not then i'll get a set of 17"s next spring. wheels direct had some nice ones this year. i'm always on the tirerack.com checking rims to see how they'll look on my car. i seem to like the gunmetal / black coloured rims.

do you notice a marked difference in ride w/ heavier rims? my neighbour across the street has chromed out 18's on a lex and they weigh a ton but he says that the ride is actually better b/c it seems to stick better. is he just bs'ing?

yup......he's half right.....pretty much anything sticks better than the firestones....
but depending on what car and what his stock rims were, he could be wrong or right....
i have 17's and they feel heavier....it's hard to describe cause usually when the car is weighed down, it's in the cabin (ppl, products in my case)....but with the rims, its heavier at the ground....
felt weird in the beginning.....definately makes a difference though
