Good choice,
I love that deck, it looks awesome and it even lights up orange if you want to match the guages.
Sweeeeeet!!!!!
If you get hooked up with that deal let me know cause I would be interested too.
I believe EgVinny has good audio hookups but I dont know about Kenwood stuff.

I used to work at Future ****.. used get everything at cost. Same at the Sony Store.. got everything at cost too.
Wanna know a trick?? Get a holiday job.. in November.. they hire like mad, to prepare for Christmas.. any job will do, even a CSR or warehouse guy (but you wanna do sales ideally). Anyway, normally you have to pass your probational period to get stuff at cost, but in December, they let EVERY employee buy at cost. They don't question how much you buy either, since they assume everything is for gifts.
That's how I got the system for my car.. well my last car had a top of the line Pioneer deck (bought it at 40% of retail price).. then I did an employment purchase plan from Harmon/Kardon.. if you buy a whole car system (amp, speakers & woofers), they give you 50% off of COST, which is 50% off to start with anyway.. so I bought a JBL 1200W RMS Monoblock, JBL 240W RMS 4 Channel, a pair of 12" Infinity KappaPerfects, a pair of 5' Infinity Kappa Components, and for the heck of it, 6.5' Infinity Kappa Components for the rear. The whole thing retail was $4000.. I paid a grand for everything.. got a total of 75% discount.
I even bought all the wires at cost...

Great News Msoft.
I talked to the owner of Sound Savings (a car audio shop here in Barrie)
I do all of their graphic design for them and he is one of my clients. I talked to him tonight and I can get us the Kenwood MPV-619 installed including wiring, deck kit and install and taxes for $399.
He is located in Barrie.
If anyone else wants this deal please PM right away and we can get this thing going.
He said he wanted 3-5 people for it to go through.
Anyone else who is very serious let me know what you want and I can see what price I can get...but please only if you are serious about getting one and ready to drive up to Barrie.
3-5 people and we are in for this.
if you want info on the deck check out www.crutchfield.com and search for the Kenwood MPV619

thats cause minidiscs never really caught on in north america. your best bet would be either to try an online store, or check the japanese versions of american companies websites to find a model you like and then see if theres an audio store that could special order one for you. or if you have relatives overseas it helps a lot.[hr]

I'm just scared of ripping open the console and not knowing how to put it back all together.. hahaha..
I saw this place I can get a Sony minidisc deck for like $400.. would I need a kit to install it too? I noticed that the OEM CD player is not regularly shaped..

Nitehawk, looks like it's a go with the Kenwood deal you have, coz $400 is impossible to beat.
Hi Tech has Pioneer 7400 at $450+tax +50 labour&mount kit... Or a Panasonic $350+tax +50...
Pls get the Kenwood hooked up! I'll be checking other decks they have at Hi Tech next Tuesday...
