Rep Power: 0 Preparing my goodbyes to 2k1 Civic lx...
A week and a half is all that remains of the time i have with my 2K1 Civic . Purchased in May of 2001 it has performed flawlessly, accumulated 20000 kms and has received many compliments on appearence etc. The coupe has been traded for the 2003 Civic siR . The new hatch has slowly grown on me and the dealers are now just starting to drop there pants a wee bit on this car. The k20a3 works wonderful , fit and finish is a notch better then the coupe and the interior ( seating/shifter/ergonomics) is just fantastic. This car will provide alot more fun behind the wheel and a bit more grunt to show the competitors down . Hell , the neon , hyundai tiburon 2002, focus zetech , and the soon to arrive mazdaspeed protege have gotten a bit big for there britches .
The new siR will be a hoot , the test drives were amazing. My LX is a great car , just lookin for a better pocket rocket . Memories of my early crx days , vw gti , vw scirroco come back with the new Sir .
My 9-5 car is 2000 Accord ex-l coupe, the Sir will be the Sunday Driver and parkin lot slalom campaigner.
Honda does it perfect .

Rep Power: 0 What kind of deal did you get by trading your LX in for the SiR.
Did you lose a lot?
Did you have any mods done to the car and if so did you leave them on?

Rep Power: 0 Hi guys ! As for trade in on my Lx i got a pretty fair deal , i had 20500 kms , only mods were after market rims , pioneer deck ,and strut bar. All are comin off , Honda dealership is straight up by sayin mods have no value to them or future owner of car. There only concern is good clean maintained and resonable mileage given time owned by previous driver.
Ive given a check for 1265.00 cdn to cover trade in versus depreciated value and also covers fees due on new car Ie AC tax, registration , dealer prep etc.
Im doin alright on this deal . Monthly payment is only 55.00 higher and insurence will increase from 70.00 monthly to 74.00 . Civic sir in same class as lx,ex,si etc .
The Sir is sellin poorly ,blame what you will (price, looks etc ) , so they are gettin pretty agressive to move these units of the lot .
And yes it does go like stink and sounds good doin it .

Rep Power: 0 Thats not a bad deal. Congrats.
Ive seen a few that were done up and they look pretty cool.
I love the seats too! I'd love to drop a pair in my car.
Enjoy!.... and post some pics when you get it so we can see your new ride.

Rep Power: 0 thanks guys. I have ordered the Neupseed springs , will beabout 1 month as stock is low as these are just startin to move as the civic sirs are just now moving of the lots ( agressive deals to move them out) . I have used apex and eibach before with good results on a couple vw cars i had . This will be my first try of neuspeed springs , i have used strut and rear bars before. .
The last couple nites with the lx have been good , the damn car works so well , at 20,000 kms it is broken in so good and i gave it a hell of a wash and wax last weekend ( a good clean car will get you at least 500.00 more on trade) .
the next owner will enjoy it for a long long time .

Rep Power: 0 Believe me , I have given the lx no abuse in my last few days of ownership ,but i have taken the rpms up high and have warmed the clutch a little . Nothing wrong with the D17 engine , works very well .
Dropped by the dealership today , took a peak through the window at my lil' red rocket sir .
Neuspeed springs are on order , Bronze Rota on the way 17 x 7 with yoko prada rubber.
2 pitbulls being trained to attack at the sound of my car alarm once i have this thing!

Rep Power: 0 Subzero . I like them lots , not quite love them , but in bronze my selection is limited versus other styles. And Rota is mucho strong compared to other makes.
