Think CB did it on his right? Was it easy/hard? I'm tempted to just paint mine, and maybe reapply my aluminum kit afterwards... But my kit isn't fitting too well right now and looks a bit sticked-on.

Hmmm... K... Gonna decide whether I keep the aluminum kit on, or maybe do both, silver paint then real aluminum on top...

How about another colour so it's not so silvery in there. A dunno, just my opinion. You need some contrast in there.

I was thinking gunmetal colour, and silver aluminum kit on top. Then gunmetal rims maybe with silver ring on that, Hmmmmmmm...

I paid so much for the aluminum kit don't wanna waste it. At least use part of it that will look good, I guess...

If I found this site and the DIY's earlier I wouldn't have bothered with the kit.

sell it.... though alot of people here have interior kits, they look sweet too. It's just that if you paint it yourself, it's original and you can be proud to say... I DID THAT!!! hah!
But gunmetal and aluminum looks good together so give that a shot, something totally different I guess.

Can't really sell used one. Coz it's on there now, haha... I have a couple of warranty replacement pieces that I want to put in...

Unless anyone here wanna hook up with a used set? Doubt it.

I'll plan for the gunmetal + real metal look, maybe cool... The reason it doesn't look too good now is that the silver doesn't go too well with black, makes the silver stand out like a sore thumb. If there's a buffer colour I'm sure it'll look better.

if you want good quality, go for Foliatec... but if you want nice colours and pretty good quality, go to those Games workshop at the mall and stuff where they sell those figurine toys and buy those paint that they use to paint their figurines. They have nice colours too.

Good stuff, Cue. I think I'll go on with the plan and get some paint. Start one piece at a time. And if the aluminum kit doesn't fit afterwards (theme/colour wise), I'll maybe sell it if anyone wants it, for cheap, and maybe even help getting it restored to a mountable state (new 3M tape, etc)... Dunno.

I'm quite excited about the paint part, as it'll look much better. Will need to decide on colour tho. Think maybe the Acura dark gray/metalic would be a good one, or a 60% metalic gray...

I just did mine silver metallic. I used ford silver, over a non-metal surface primer. It cost like $13 for both. That way you can use any automotive paint you want.
