it's a hell of a lot cheaper than what i got quoted yesterday in Mississauga for it installed ($600+)
but like i said in the other thread about the Vader, i don't wanna have to leave my wheels there to get it done..
if it takes them 8 hours to install it fine, but i gotta be able to drive away the same day with it working beauty..
btw..what all is this going to include as far as functions??
i know it has all kinds of optional "uses", but what will actually be functional..
i don't need remote start so will that make it cheaper than if that WAS included in the "package deal"??
will it save me from someone cutting the battery cables and then opening doors etc. (so in other words, will it operate on pin-switches or on power draw (light activation)??)..

Add to the incredible list of features: defective zone diagnostic, remote siren disable, dual mode chirp elimination, high security valet mode, optional PC data port, remote door lock /unlock outputs, remote panic, dome light control output, keyless entry, remote accessory activation, remote trunk release, active/passive arming, pass arm auto lock, last state power up, eight-event system memory, intrusion alert, battery saving mode, high security output, programmable accessory output as well as a programmable dome light surveillance delay.
AutoSecure includes a high intensity LED, high output siren, programming button panel, pin switch, wire ties, bullet connectors, mounting screws, double-sided tape and fuse holders to complete the installation. The main wire harness is long and the wire is flexible, making installation simple. You can pre-wire much of the alarm on the bench before installing it in the car, and make all your connections with ease.
The heart of the security system is the brain; a black box measuring 5.5- x 3.25- x 1.25-inches, making it fairly easy to hide. There are two main harnesses connected to the brain: the starter / ignition kill connections, and the main system harness.
Unlike many security systems, some of the ends of the wires on the main harness are terminated in Molex C-Grid connectors. These plug in to various other modules included with the alarm.
Let’s look at these other modules. Up first is the two-stage shock sensor. The heart of the sensor is a piezoelectric disc. Piezoelectric devices have the unique characteristic of being able to produce vibration when excited by an electric field, and conversely, produce an electric field when excited by vibration. There is a heavy (relatively speaking) weight attached to the disc that, when vibrated by motion to the vehicle, causes a voltage to be sent to the internal circuitry of the sensor. One enormous benefit of utilizing piezoelectric devices is their resistance to temperature variations, which can cause performance variations. This makes the Vadar very stable and reliable at all temperatures. There are two sensitivity adjustments on the sensor itself, allowing your installer to fine tune the unit for your vehicle and it’s installation.

The Vadar alarm....
Is it 'smart' enough to disable certain zones if there have been false alarms in that zone in the past X minutes? i.e. Something like Clifford's FACT system..... or have I been eating too much hype/marketing from Clifford?!

well just to let you know...the VADAR alarm..uses the clifford brain........for its alarm system.....so yes my VADAR alarm sends me warnings on the pager....for eg...guy with loud exhaust....it sends me warning.....it is very similar....
Well, the FACT thing I was mentioning is that if you have the local rice boy with loud exhaust driving around in circles on the right side of your car, it'll activate the alarm the first and maybe second time, then "technically" disable that side of the alarm since it realizes that it's a whole buncha false alarms... but it'll only disable that side, and/or the dual shock sensor(?)....

BTW: For those interested in that laser thing I posted, you can buy it from www.varad.com .... I've seen it in Pacific Mall at Station 28 under the glass counter. Don't know price, but Kromer Radio is selling it for $99 + tax, so it's gotta be cheaper than that at PacMall.

I am interested in having remote start, keyless entry and a siren anything else is a bonus.
So does this mean that $400-$500 tax included installed is gonna have all of this? or is it gonna cost more for remote start?

it'll cost more for sure... adding these add-ons will determine final price
but commitment to the alarm is needed first so stillmatik can get us the best price
then we can get jacked for the addons
hehe
just playin'
