OT:just got smoked by a STANG
well i was at a light and i was minding my own business when i pulled over to some old 5.0 mustang and he starts revvin his engine.........and in my head i was like..........this guys pissin me off...........i knew i was gonna lose but he was pissin me off......and hopin he was a crap driver..........so once the light turned green........i gunned it and cut him off!!!!.......and i was redlining first and second gear......but i heard this beast gainin ground from behind me.......it just took off past me before i could even redline third........oh well........those are the times i wish i had a turbo.........but still proves that most mustang owners are losers for pickin on civics......

but yea.. our import rides look so much nicer than their.
its just the way our car's are designed ..
its appealing..while their..its just to get inside and go from point A to point B safely!!

Rep Power: 0 i hear ya bluelle...i didn't race this one stang but the bast@rd took off on me at a light once...i got next to him and said your car sounded wicked...it was some dude in his 40's...i asked him what he had and he said something like twin turbo and what not...he was a nice guy, he said thanks when I complemented the sound of his ride...then the light turned green and he hauled a$$...haha...they might be fast but those new stangs look like [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-puke.gif[/IMG]

Those are sooo easy to beat, it's not funny... well... actually now I have heavy *** rims, it's probably a different story (can't even beat my own '91 1.6L 3-Speed Corolla)..
The 150HP 3.8L V6 are easy... I've beaten those, in automatic. I raced this mario andretti with a 5-speed once, and he had me by 1/4 car length all the way up to 120km/h, then my car caught up... and started passing!
The 200HP 3.8L V6 (new edgy designs), you do NOT wanna fawk with. They are very quick... I would say they are more in the league of a hard driven '00 Civic SiR.
Of course, you don't wanna fawk with ANY V8s. 5.0L, and ESPECIALLY the 4.6L.. oh my. They are faaast.

Rep Power: 0 I miss my stang. I like my Civic for different reasons...If you like cheap speed and don't care about refinment buy a 86-93 stang for summer and you'll have a blast. Nothing beats torque.

Rep Power: 0 The gears in the rear will tell you if it is fast in the 1/4 or on the highway. When I had my stang I had zero problems keeping up with all the normal imports, Integras, Preludes no problem. My car topped out around 220-230 one night on the 407, I was also 18 or something! Most of stangs that at a stoplight go like snot have 3:73 or 4:10s. Which are wicked for the quarter but on the highway your redlining.
That's the only thing that burns my *** with small displacement motors is you need some type of forced induction to really get them moving. Gears, headers, exhaust, bump the timing and a good driver your easily in the 13s.

first of all the only reason i cut him off was cuz a car pulled in front of me at the intersection................and when i cut him off i was 3 car lentghs in front of him...........and second of all u dont know me.........and i dont really care who u are..........so u have no right to tell me to grow up............everyone is cool with everyone on this forum............so leave it at that...........i dont want no flame war........
