To continue my other post about intake/exhaust, what are you guys' opinions on suspension upgrades? I'll very shortly have done Eibach Sportline and Koni's.

So what's next? Strut tower/lower/front/rear/roll/etc...? $100~$200 a piece is not that much, but they do add up, so are they necessary or help at all?

Haha... From what I know, I won't *need* them. They will improve handling by reducing body-roll on high speed turns...

With most of us, I guess, it's more of what we *want* rather than what we *need*, hee hee...

I know this much though: the wheels make the car, then it's the suspension, then it's the bars... Without the last one, the next one won't do jack.

1llmatic will become famous soon enough
the ones that make the biggest difference is the upper front strut bar and the rear stabalizer bar.
upgrading suspension is a must for the 7th gen civic because the front strut is mclaren single strut...and not double wishbone...it causes more roll, bumpier when your car is lowered as well.

that has nothing to do with the macphersen (sp?) struts... lots of high powered sports cars use this setup...

Well, the MacPhearson strut design is a type of design just as good as the double wish-bone. It's just the way Honda's implemented it that made our cars a disaster. I.e., why use a "sports" car suspension setup without sports suspension parts? They basically had two reasons to go with the MacPhearsons: 1. cost, 2. smaller engine compartment. So here we are, with Honda suddenly gone mad and decide to make the Civic a car for the mass and take away the sport feel we ended up with soft struts (which for some weird reason absolutely not related to cost-cutting was CHEAP and broke for most ppl)...

So I agree, suspension upgrade is necessary if you drop.

the bigger the drop the more of an upgrade needed. if you only lower the car an inch or so you don't "need" a thing, but if you drop it 4 inches then you will need to do the bars as well...

it's not so much high speed turns.. it's all turns in general, reducing body flex, unwanted roll, unwanted bounce... all that, it's just basically where you decide to reinforce the body.. i sat in my friends 99 hatch with full suspension setup, tein coilovers and all the rest.. holy crap could you tell the difference... feels like it was glued to the ground.. either way wether you lower or not, it'll make a difference, but lowering usually makes the most difference, but the rest should def be on the to do list..

That's a very broad question. You gotta narrow down your question.
