OT: Is it just me, or are TO streets ALL crap
Can't believe how careful I have to be driving around in TO. DVP is alright, but 401 is a deathtrap around the Yorkdale area!!
Not to mention I work D/T, and driving over pot-holes, streetcar tracks, and just plain broken streets with 1.5" drop worrying every second that my stock shocks will blow and I'll have to shell out a grand to get Koni's installed not to mention the fear that the shop will not do it properly and will cost me a bundle more... ARGH!!!!!
Haha... Just bored. Thought I'd vent a bit about the crappy patch jobs our Ontario gov does on our provincial roads and the poor poor TO gov who can't even afford patching the local roads...
Just curious, anyone with a sport drop AND bodykit in this city? Problems navigating around town.
Oh, and I wanted to McD for lunch down on Dufferin, but couldn't coz the curb was too high and I'd probably scratch and bottom out going over the 60 degree incline... <SIGH>

lol...
3.5 - 4 inch drop with a kit and I think I've only ever scraped once..? but that was my fault... relax, I highly doubt your shocks are going to blow. Plus if you drive slowly and at an angle over the speedbumps/driveways you should be fine, but with a 1.5 inch drop I don't think you'd need to for most of 'em...

yeah Toronto streets suck dude... man driving through there everyday must suck. Good thing I work close to the highway on Spadina, else.....
Yeah, like draven said, you should be fine. I've had neuspeed sports on my stock shocks for a while and nothing extemely bad has happened, sure I've scrapped a couple times and my shocks bottomed out on REALLY harsh bumps, but that's it. Stock shocks still holding up.
As long as you are careful and drive around potholes etc.

Well, the strike is over, so the garbage will be gone soon... I wonder if they'll fly a jet across the city and spray air fresheners.....................?
When you work 8-12 hours a day D/T, and live in the north end of Scarborough, there's absolutely no way the Rocket is a good alternative! I'd spend the extra $$ on gas, parking, and even new shocks if I have to, to avoid needing to wait 15-20 minutes for each bus/subway/streetcar that I go on...
It's 1h 45m to my office from home on the subway(streetcar/bus) and 45m driving through rush hour traffic. 20 minutes on a weekend day the way I drive.
And you know, that brings up a great point. Our cars are faster than the ROCKET FIVE TIMES!!! HAHAHAHA
You guys are spoiled up in scarb and markham. The roads are so smooth up there. I'm downtown all the time with a neuspeed drop on stock shocks. You gotta watch out for potholes and stuff. The gardiner comming into the city is brutal.

It a different kind of driver downtown. You gotta be agressive or you'll be stuck all the time. Ppl will not let you in. And yeah, Dufferin St & west is the land of Altezza and riced out cavaliers.

I just wish I either work in Scarb/Markham, or live D/T... But alas, life is never perfect. At least I have a nice car to drive around, makes the commuting enjoyable!
