lowering the car...
since I am new at this.... could someone explain to me the difference between "lowering the car", "springs/coilovers", and "shocks/suspension"?? cuz I've seen some expensive kits for one of these things (~$2000)... but I just wanna lower my car so that it doesn't look so high off the ground.... If you just want to lower the car then just get springs.
A lowering spring is a direct replacement for the factory spring that drops the height down to a set rate. This is the most popular and the cheapest option.
A "slip-fit" coilover is a much smaller spring with an adjustable sleeve, making your height adjustable. A "full" coilover incorporates a shock as well. These are both much pricier options.
That should be enough to start you off. Seriously though, if you want more answers you can do a search in this forum, these types of questions have been answered time and time again.

yeah they are... unless you wanna drive around with wheels like this / /-----\ \ this has some negative effects... like camber tire wear... and just looks plain wierd...Im happy mine isnt low enuff to cause that much of a camber adj. but i'll be getting one too..
Actually it varies from car to car and depending on what type of spring you use. Some springs are more susceptible to causing camber problems than others, but seriously you should only be able to assess the situation after you drop the car and give the springs time to settle. For a one inch drop though you should be absolutely fine.
thats only gonna happen if u get race springs and thats like rare that it happens u must hit like big pot hole or something
just get sport springs.
if u just want to lower it.
i got them and their just fine kinda bouncy but hell at least im dropped
cost me alot for them since i got them when they first came out
but its cheap now. no more than 400 installed haha

Im on H&R sports... its a 1.3 inch drop... which causes 1% negative camber and its barely noticable... but i'll be getting one just so i dont get camber wear on my tires..... but the downside to H&R sport is PPL will say its still to high... but I love it..........2 finger gap in the front and back.... and it saves you on your shocks

yeah i do have a sedan...i know the neuspeed are pretty cheap from import stylez but i dont know where i can get good price on the eibach,...but seriously i dont mind paying more if it is better springs
so for sedan, only neuspeed and eibach that are good and wont have bad camber problem? but i know neuspeed drop 1.75 and 1.5 so wouldnt it cause the tires go like //----\\ ???

net: wanna let me drive your car to test the stiffness?
and whoever have eibach springs on their sedan, wanna do me this favour?
