Spoiler
Spoiler
I have a 2k1 civic 4-door sedan and I want to install a factory-style rear spoiler. I asked the dealer and they're selling it for $640 +GST installed and painted. Too stiff for me. Somebody recommended Speedtech in Scarborough and I was told 390 installed and painted. Sounds good. My question is, the one from Speedtech does not include the additional spring for the trunk. Do I really need it? Any opinions or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Any other stores I can go? Thanx.

the OEM spoileer includdes heavy duty trunk springs.. Other's do not..... the dealer here told me they can get me a eurothane replica spoiler for $375 painted and installed without heavy duty springs..
Formula Honda charged me $350 for an A/M spoiler installed, no spring. The lid stays up OK but you have to raise it all the way or OUCH!
The spring would be nice but not for almost $300. Has anyone seen a DIY fix for this? (not the hidden trunk hinge DIY) I'd like to get mine right and forget about it.
