Some Trouble

Wellllllllll my father decided to take my car to Honda for schedualed service while I was away on vacation. But before winter I changed my summer rims back to winter rims, and me being an idiot misplaced one of the OEM lug nuts. So I used my tuner lug, and forgot all about it.

With all the good weather lately I was going to put my rims back on early but........

MY DAD LOST THE BLOODY KEY!

What the hell am I going to do to get this tuner lug off? without damaging the spindles.

I large nut remover works well, but it will damage the lock nut (not reusable). I don't beleive in wheel locks anymore, since you can buy a tool at canadian tire for $20 that will remove any lock there is. Any serious crook will have it with him anyway.

I thought of another thing... try going to Firestone. They might have some extra locks lying around. I broke a tuner key a while back and went to Firestone and bought a spare one they had that fit.

do you mean that the locknut is ROUND and therfore shapeshifting tools will not work?

that's an easy fix. when you bought your mcgards you should have got a sticker sheet that has a unique bar code on it for that particular lock parttern. all you have to do is mail this in to mcgard and a fixed fee, which is stated on the back of the sheet, and they will send you a replacement key. however, if you lost that sticker you might have to go to a shop and pay a fee to have them removed....they can be removed but not with conventional tools and after they are removed they probably won't be usable meaning you will need to buy new locks.
