got t-boned sunday morning

im in quite a bit of pain after sunday mornings crash i was involved in...

we were in my boys jetta comin home from work, actually heading to pickup my car so i could go home... and my buddy made a left turn on to college from university... and we got t-boned pretty badly. the car hit us while we were goin slow, they were goin around 60-70. my buddy tried to make the turn even though there was a no left turns sign. someone in the car encouraged him but between the three guys in the back, i dunno who it was and no one will confess obviously...

both cars have been written off already, i was in the passenger seat so i got the worst of it from our car. the driver of the other car broke his wrist or arm. we went to st michaels but got no treatment/attention cuz we werent a priority... i start physio tuesday at 11am... i got leg, back, neck, chest and head pains along with, what i feel, is a partially fractured thumb... im also having a hard time mentally given the fact i saw the car comin and was screamin at my friend... now i know what ppl mean when they say they saw their life flash before their eyes... it was scary looking out the window, seeing lights coming towards us while screaming and losing my mind, not being able to do a damn thing.

we got hit and all 5 of us blacked out for a quick second... i regained consciousness after we finished spinning and we were goin in reverse towards some little building... i told my buddy to hit the brake repeatedly, but when i looked at him, he looked dead with his head back on the seat... so i yanked the handbreak and then everyone slowly regained consciousness...

we were in a 2001 vw jetta, the car that hit us was a 1999 ford contour i believe. they told me that i would have surely been dead being in the front seat had the ford been an SUV, minivan, or anything relatively large...

by far my worst experience ever... what a night...

His friends insurance company will have nothing to do with him. Sig will have to be covered under his own insurance which in turn, his insurance will sue his friends insurance to get back the money (since his friend was at fault). I was in a similar accident in August when a truck rear-ended my friends car when we were stoped at the Eglinton and 403 off ramp. When I got out of the hospital, my friends insurance company called me to see if I was alright and said I would have to contact my own insurance to cover medical and financial replacement.

wow, SiG sorry to hear about that. The most important thing is your alive and its also good that your car wasn't involved.

About the no left turn sign that sucks. Thats there just so people will use the U-turn just below college.

Dude Im so sorry to hear about this, I hope you feel better soon.

well... at least you're alive to talk about it (y)

one of my accident that i was involved in... i sorta t-boned someone.. a big a s s truck... but i swirved and hit the truck in the front. the truck was making an illegal u/turn.. at the same time.. he under the influence of alcohol... and to top it off, the dumba s s ran away after the crash, not remaining at the scene....

once he made that u/turn, i knew i was hitting him dead on within that milla-second... i blacked out for a split second also... not remember if i had my seatbelt on or not... but the airbags deployed and i remembered waking up from the smell of burnt wires and smokes everywhere... i got out of the car and realized i hit a building and missed a light post by inches... if i hit that, the light post might of broke and landed on top of my car...

makes you think sometimes..

.... you're friend made an illegal left turn...? if the officer didnt give him a ticket for an illegal left turn... he/she must of been a nice officer.. b/c some will still write them up still... let's hope now that the other driver doesnt sue and your buddy's insurance wont sky rocket... b/c they'll probably find out he made an illegal left turn...

good luck recoverying

thanks for all the well wishes again guys, it really does help in a time like this knowing you all care and that my friends and i are in your hearts

my friend didnt get anything for the illegal left turn attempt, he just got nailed for careless driving (6 pts). we just spoke a couple hrs ago around 2am... hes hiring a lawyer to help him... with 2 cars written off cuz of this mistake, his insurance is sure to skyrocket, esp since hes 20...

im going to see my uncle tomorrow, hes a neurologist and chiropractor so im looking forward to my treatment with him. thanks again everyone

im assuming the next answer would be:

the guardian that you're living with, or is taking care of you.

if you dont have that... then your work insurance

if you dont have that.. then i guess you're outta luck?

Sorry to sound like a gawking onlooker.... But pics?

Holy damned SHEESH, I can't believe the force of impact causing so much damage to you... I thought new cars have reinforcement bars on all doors to prevent penetration/entry of foreign objects???

I smashed straight into the back of a stopped 80's car (the ones with those HUGE, LOOONG trunks) going about 90km/h.... Entire front was smashed, front winder was cracked (not smashed through), doors couldn't open correctly, but the car could still drive.... (I had it towed off the QEW)..... This was a 2000 Civic sedan....

Good to hear your alive and .... kinda well. Get that stuff fixed up man.... Body pains in this kinda weather is killer...... (I'm asian, so that "wind" crap, i.e. arthritis is what I'm thinking of.... )

And I'll agree.... at such a young age guys usually do stupid moves.... A left turn onto College from University is very dangerous.... (I crashed up when I was about 21....) Dangerous driving charge is very serious.... I got hit with that, thankfully the officer never showed up.

oh really... well lemme clear things up for you. if i say you can come to work, you can come. if i say you cant, you wont. i would say that pretty much means i hired you. faisal referred you to me, i hired you. no one else spoke to you. im in charge of hiring some people, its one of my duties... thanks

as for the benefits part, im not gonna get in to that on a public forum. all im gonna say is that you working does not make or break my receiving higher hourly wages, so dont get the wrong impression of the situation.
