Quebec Highways Suck!
Just getting back from the Montreal Grand Prix and my trip out east to PEI and Nova Scotia. Well to say the least once again my car was destroyed on Quebec's fabulous highways...Auto Route 20. Two broken struts, bent rim, blown wheel bearing...all over one pot hole.
Trying to contact the Quebec governement over this as I had to have the car towed to the Honda dealer at 1am in the morning.
I drive through 3 provinces and the Highways are amazing, go through Quebec and it's like going through a 3rd world country. I am a montreal native and shouldint be suprised on how the roads are, but with the amount of road contruction always going on in that city and entire province, why are the roads not getting any better?
Well, just had to vent over this. Has anyone else had their car destroyed on Quebecs roads? This isnt the first time either. My Preludes bumper was cracked in two last year over a pot hole.

Sorry .. but well I can't help but
Every time I take a trip, on the way back, whenever I hit the Quebec border its obvious. Road goes to the *******'s - bumpiness + uneven + more noise .. It at least lets me know I'm almost home but at the same time its
Welcome to the club about the problems.. good luck getting anything from the Quebec government. I don't think they have a policy or anything like that, but if they do - let us know. I know a couple of people that have lost rims in the least to our roads.

your the second victem check out faze's rim

I drive through montreal a lot and man, those pot holes there dont even look like potholes, more like open man hole covers. I swear Ive seen potholes big enough to swallow your car. In fact last time I was in montreal (february I think) I dont think I saw any lane markings in the city.
Looking good comes at a cost, rims are a bitch but they look so good.
I feel for ya

Dude, that sucks hardcore! I know some of the roads in Ottawa are pretty bad, but nothing compares to the road quality in Quebec. Those roads are known Canada wide
Hope everything works out for you! Keep us updated. How much damage? Do you think your struts and wheel bearing will be warrantied?

Government will do something, I have to provide gas receipts to prove I was in that area as well as pictures, which I have. They wanted a police report but at 1am I told them there was no phone call to the police.
As for warranty, I doubt Honda will let that slide, car is lowered and everything, hard enough getting your bad struts replaced under warranty when it's lowered.
I'll keep you updated. Just for all of you that do drive through Quebec there is a number on the hwy to call for compansation for damages due to the roads

wait, how do gas receipts prove you were in the area? Unless i guess you happened to fill up close to where the pot hole (car killer) was.
Its also pretty sad they had to set up a phone number just for damages due to the roads. How about just fixing the damn roads?
