Tint issue in Toronto
Tint issue in Toronto
hey guys i jut got tint 20% all around and i was wondering if any of you guys had any trouble with your tint in the GTA area. I did some researching and ppl said 35% is legal for front and back can be whatever.
Yep, 35% in the front is the legal limit
Thats what i did on my fronts and i kinda wish i went with 20% in the front. As for the rear windows, i did 20%, and the rear windshield... 5%! Shoulda went 20% all around though!
I dont think cops will hassle you too much, but if they do, try keeping your windows rolled down in the front when you see a cop. But for 20% I personally dont think you'll get much hassle, if any.

acually there is no law regarding the exact degree of tints in the front, tints are illegal when they obstruct the view of an officer into the vechile.
I did 35% all around and I am happy, but I see people rolling around toronto with 20% and once saw a porche with 5%. Toronto cops usually have better things to do, where you might get in trouble is york region, or OPP, there all bored ****'s. Be really careful when driving out of country, in the states there are more specific limits that change from state to state, and when you have ONTARIO markers you tend to get pulled over more often
But since youve already had it done, 35% or even 50% isn't any more legal then 20% if a cop decides to ticket you its because he feels the view into your car was obstructed.

well during daytime with my 20% you can kind of see the drivers shadow but at night it like jet black can't see anything inside so i jus hope no cops pull me over for that. and if they do pull you over is it a ticket for $110 or a fix it?

I have 20% all around too...didn't have any problems for over 3 years, but recently got pulled over on an overcast day. Yes, the ticket is $110 or fix it...I just paid the stupid ticket. Now I open my sunroof whenever I see a cop...
