FurBall is an unknown quantity at this point
It would REALLY help if you actually mentioned what kind of work you are looking for, what your skills are, and everything.

And no, telling us you live in Markham doesn't help. Seriously... It's not like we're going to your house to pick up some parts. If you're looking for work, you'd be coming to my office/warehouse to do the work.......

Just trying to help.

use the gov's job bank...its not bad

also...just an idea...but use some initiative and just start going to random company's websites and looking under "careers" or "job opportunities" and shoot them an application. certainly couldnt hurt

thanks for the input... sorry for not being more in depth. what i meant bout im living in markham is that im lookin for something in the markham or surrounding area.

in terms of my skills, mostly sales and retail experience as well as some door to door selling (not the most glamourous job, but really gave me a lot of experience in how to present, overcome objections and close). My retail experience comprises of a job at Bell World and a job at Wireless Wave. So I do know a lot about cell phones and all the different providers. I also know my way around the Windows OS, and am profficient with the office suite of products.

im 19 years old, and im goin to York in the fall for Business studying marketing/advertising and i will problly take a few accounting courses as well. in terms of employment, i am lookin for something long-term if possible. My ideal job would be in an office, specifically in a marketing or advertising firm, but anything right now will do. most of the classes that I am going to be taking at york will be in the evening, so I will be available to work during the days.

Again I am right now just lookin for a job, what i have outlined above is my ideal job situation, but right now I am open for anything. I don't mind putting in extra hours, and I am a hard worker.

Regarding the post about going around to company's websites, I have done that, as well as search my local newspaper and online job boards such as Monster and Workopolis. This is just another way for me to try and find employment, because perhaps there is an employer on here who is currently looking for someone and I might be able to fit his/her requirements.
