I was reading on another board reading about profiling and the police...

so seeing how maybe some of you have had an experience or two you wont forgot...why not share it...

I am working on a television story on how police treat drivers of hopped up cars differently. I posted this earlier, and got a lot responses, including stories of unfair tickets, harassment, etc.

my only beef is that they pull us over for noise violations cause of our exhausts(not me yet)...but they don't pull over the motorcycles with cobra exhausts that are louder x40 than us..as well as the rednecks that put monster tires and suspension on old trucks and have exhausts louder than a rock concert...its profiling alright

its the few bad apples that rev their import cars creating excessive noise in parking lots, on the street etc. that give the normal car entuisiast a bad name.

mind you there are ALOT of kids that act a fool all the time in toronto...

to avoid police just be mindful of their presence...most police in toronto are very nice people...

i've been pulled over at least 100 times since i got my 7th gen.
some of those times were my fault...other times it was that my car was noticed by the police either for noise or lighting

most of the times i've been pulled over the officer explained the reason why i was pulled over and sent me on my way with a warning...a few times the heat is on and i get the book thrown at me.

honestly...its the price you pay to play in this modification game.

what do most people want to do to their car...
- lower
- lighting
- exhaust
- audio

- slamming a car is illegal...
- certain lighting is illegal...
- exhausts are illegal, loud and annoying to other ppl...
- audio causes noise pollution to communities when blasting

although i don't like the constant hassles if i do have to deal with the police you have to accept why cops are like that.

if you were a cop and saw stupid kids driving like idiots all the time on the road in their mom's honda civic with an axel back exhaust...you would probably pull over any honda civic with an exhaust...
