the problem i had with my tire was it just lept going flat every so often. The rubber wasnt sealed to the rim and it was leaking air. my allignment needs to be done and thats what caused my tire to start balding on the outter edge.

Hello Niagara peeps!! Just wanted to drop by and say whats up. I hope winter has been kinder to your cars than to mine.... (tear).

Anymawho, Jer to answer your question about the plating on the rotors, its not just for appearance, its also for corrosion and rust prevention thanks to our wonderful winters and salting.

As for the pads, they are a great idea if you are upgrading the rotors as well. I will check if we can do sumthing for you.

And for the rest of the niagara peeps, we miss you guys and wish you all goodluck on exams and what not. Id say drop by our thread but it was so pathetic that i think it got closed....lol. Its kinda hard when only 2 people are reppin 7thgen in Hamilton......boourns.

Later ladies and gents

yes, the past three weeks were hectic with term papers and assignments and such and also we're moving so i didnt have a chance to raise her up and thanks to the unexpected 10 cm snowfall and having to be at work at 630am, the roads were not yet ploughed. But since i was 2 inches of the ground i did some of the ploughing that resulted in my front undertray to be ripped off and folded under the car.......not a pretty site.

so yesterday i spent the whole day taking my entire suspension out and putting my stockers back on. I did the best that i could to fix the undertray with zip ties....so far so good...................I hate winter.

Man shifty that sucks about your car. I had that almost happen once in the summer but it just started flapping, it didnt actually fold under the car thankfully.

Anyway, i figured the plating on the rotors had to be for something other than appearance and thats good to know. For the pads I'd be looking for a street use pad that doesn't sqeak and make stupid amounts of dust.

Interesting...the rotors I ordered are probably more expensive than OEM but thats OK cuase they will be gold. But I can get decent pads for 55 so that would be very close to OEM pricing so I might as well do that. Thanks for the valuable information.

SARE: who vacations in New Brunswick...and in the winter??

Kerri

Thanks for the offer but Im going to get aftermarket rotors and Pads. I asked about the squeaking and it's true some high performance pads will squeak but the ones Im getting are more for street use and are only a little bit louder than stock.
