HONDAGURL8 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
my car runs like new... ive had to replace ball joints and tie rods but that comes with lowering. Tranny is ok!! i changed the tranny fluid like at 98000km but im gonna get it flushed for sure.. sometimes i feel it hesitates but i think it just needs a flush... I should have done the timing belt once already im getting that done too.. i guess u should do it at 100000km but i go to acura for service and at the time they were totally rippin me off. i left it and now i NEED to get it done!!! ya imd efinately getting the tranny serviced when i take it off the road... THe civics gonne be on a sick leave till APril so im gonna make sure when i take it out in April its gonna be in tip top shape....

I havent had the tranny flushed or the spark plugs changed. I am just following the honda service schedule. I guess I can ask for the tranny to be flushed at my next service even if its earlier than its supposed to be. Also I have never changed the spark plugs either. I was thinking of DIYing that..it cant be too hard plus I can probably get better plugs than the OEM.

Speaking of plugs, is anyone want to go to IMportfest after midterms??

We could take my moms whip up to TO if no one wants to take their 'vic

just cuz someone posted about spark plugs i investigated... NGK platinum something plugs are the best for our cars. THey are $18 a plug compared tp a $4 one u could get a canadian tire.... so i was gonna change the spark plugs yet again do a tranny and brake flush but the guy at work told me to wait til april... my poor car has seven more days on these niagara streets... im so sad!!!! oh well.... wait until april....

I've heard about the NGK ones too. Sounds pretty good. $18 seems pretty high but its gotta be worth the extra 0.003 increase in HP. IS the spark plugs easy to change?

While I do have extensive knowledge of lubrication I did know know that you needed to lube the spark plugs. I wonder if it also tells how to change spark plugs in the owners manual

i dont know what u lube them up with, i can find out , people think u just pull it out and stick a new one in, the people at my work said sometimes its hard to get them out,im not a mechanic though, and im sure they are changing plugs on old pieces of crap.................ANYWAYS!!!! kind of good news.... DUde is gonna buy my car for 11750.00 ONLY IF i change the timing belt, thats like a 7hr job on its own. he wants the receipt for me doing it so i might have to fork out 700$.......hmmmmmmmmmm

Well you basically only have to decide if you are willing to accept $11,000 for the car since that's your net after changing the timing belt.

I think you should keep the civic and just hang out with us more next summer

Well there is absolutely no point in buying a new one and re-clearing it cause you will have the same problems again. The last time you re-sealed it did you put it in the oven to help soften the glue and then push it together. I think that helps alot.

i think this is an excellent idea. I haven't gotten to see your car and having another Niagara member to chill with would be good times.
