Magazine City (Buyer Beware)
I've been trying to renew my wife's National Geographic subscription and I came upon Magazine City on the net. National Geographic's website charges $99 for a 2 year renewal but Magazine City charges $79 for the same thing. I thought this was a good deal and I almost ordered it. Lucky I sent them an e-mail to confirm the price and the currency. Their webpage is misleading because it shows a Canadian flag above the price under the 'International Delivery' section. It doesn't state the currency so I assumed the cost is in CAD. I included the link below.

It turned out that this was in USD so it works out to be exactly the same as NG with the current exchange rate.
I checked out the prices for Sport Compact Car and it actually costs MORE to order from these guys. They charge $50 USD for a one year subscription while SCC's charges $40 USD (and SCC's website specifically state USD above their price).
I sent them an e-mail back telling them this and that their web page is misleading. All they said was that this is the best deal they can get. Well then why would I order from them instead? This website is such a scam. Just so you guys are aware. I was pretty ticked at their response.
I checked the yahoo ratings for this website and they have had some poor responses as of late. Especially in their customer service. So I am glad I didn't give them my money.
