the worst part about all of this is the idoit driver didnt have his full liscence...he had a G1...moreover he didnt have a liscence on him, as well as no paperwork for insurance..

he got busted for wreckless driving, no liscence and insurance on him and driving with a G1...and when i ask him to see his policy number and liscence, his reply.."dont worry about it!"....r u serious? What an IDIOT!!!!!

bro, join www.torontoaccords.com and ask there. Maybe the g1 driver is registered on that forum...

And given the fact that he was dumb enough to crash with a g1 (ya would think illegal drivers would be extra cautious...), hes prolly dumb enough to reply your post to tell you it was him lol

ya know, when this case goes on court...

ALTHOUGH
he is charged for wreckless driving, going red etc..

the yukon driver would have a chance to be sued.... and he would have to pay for the damages.... very sad huh?

yes I am serious...

i kno ppl who experienced it, my dad has a fd who was in the same situatino, her's was even worst... it happened in toronto...

she was in a left turn, signal went yellow, she turns, a car darts on her...and her car slammed into a bus stop packed with ppl...it was on the news...

the everyone including the other driver was suing her...

here is the reasons behind...

1. there is no way to check whether thay sonna biatch is speeding or not, even if he is, doesn't make a difference..

2. the most important is where the concept of right of way comes in place..

here we have an intersection...
x is on a left turn, y is going straight...now lets put aside the lights etc...

on the lane, the right of way is always the cars going straight....so X is trying to turn left, he is perpendicular to the road...thus technically going in a wrong direction...

and this is also in the G1 test...
the question asks you:
You are driving in an intersection wanting to turn left, when should you do so?

a) just turn
b) turn ONLY when it's safe to do so (in another words, when everything, cars pedestrians etc is cleared)
c) wait for another car to signal you
d) ...

answer is obviously B...

so regardless of the light signals, the person left turning never gets the right of way....

the only exception in this case is the left turn signal, where the left turners get the right of way...

hope you get it...personally, i feel sorry for the guys who's left turning...right now my dad's fd is getting sued by quite a lot of people

On that note, also don't count on all or some of those charges holding up in court. Likely the person that is charged will hire a paralegal and negotiate the charges down with the Crown.

I witnessed a bad accident last summer where some dumbass basically rear-ended a bunch of cars stopped at a traffic light at full speed (60 km/h)! She ended up causing a 4 car accident and people were injured. She was charged with careless driving (rightfully so), but of course in court the paralegal she hired managed to get the Crown to reduce the charges to a simple "follow too closely" fine. From what the cop on the case told me, this sort of BS happens every day, I guess that explains the number of bad drivers on our streets.

yup.. ******* like that get off all the time

i was in a collision a few years ago... totalled the car... i hit a big a s s vehicle as well... bigger then a Yukon, who was making an illegal u-turn.
who WAS also under the influence of alcohol, AND ran away leaving his smashed vehicle... ******* dumbass he is.

i was deemed not at fault... but the driver... got off easy... basically.. it took a whole year to get the case to court, where he was charged with careless driving, not remaining at the scene of accident, ... and had other charges from before.. not allowing the officer to give him the breather lizer test sp???

well, after that whole year of him "supposedly" not driving... he got off with some bull **** charge..... and the judge gave him a year to pay off some fines... which is fine with me, but him getting off with a bull shiet charged pissed me off.

talk to your lawyer who you want to sue....and i mean don't sue da guy who's running the lights and was obviously wrong...just sue whoever would pay up the sum and compensate your lost...or if possible, just sue both of them....

just ask your lawyer how you have advantage if you sue who and who

I agree about not suing either. I don't see the point, and its useless suits like that end up causing insurance rates to rise for everyone else.

i dont see the point in sueing either............ only ****** who have no lives and want to take money out off ppl's hard earn money that would usually sue...

unless that person is truly at fault.. then it's a different story... shouldnt just sue just b/c you want money out of it... and like EL said.. it'll have the insurance rates go even higher for that person...

never heard anything about that no fault insurance...
unlessy ou're talking about only liability coverage... which is, if you're ever in an accident, you better NOT be at fault.
