If your car is under the 3 and 5 year warrenty it should not cost anything.

I had a check engine light under my 3 year warrenty it costed me nothing to diagnose.

Unfortunately its like that at most dealerships and garages. They charge you the standard one hour labour for something that takes them no more than 5-10 minutes.

Same thing happened to me. Had to pay 85 bucks to see why the check engine light came on and in the end they said my oil was a little low. I think that was total B.S. Oh yeah, recentlly my check engine light came on so I remembered someone saying to check your gas cap that it was turned closed at least 3 clicks. I opened and closed the gas cap about 8 or so clicks and drove for about 2 minutes of driving the check engine light was gone. Honda's the biggest rip off.

AntiLoop will become famous soon enough
Honda Service is the worst.. Even Hyundai has better service so I hear.. At least they don't give people a hard time with warranty related probs..

If only the Scion TC was here in Canada !! Toyota service owns Honda.

just dont take it to a honda dealer. take it to a decent shop. i got these guys close to my house who used to reset the check engine light on my accord for free.

he diagnosed it for free as well. most shops will tell you whats wrong with your car for free. its only the bastards at honda dealers that charge you for an estimate

Reset SRS light - I keep 2 bent paperclips in my glovebox. 30 second job. Damn those honda bastards... I've had bad experiences at 2 different Acura dealerships, not sure where I'll take my car when something else goes wrong... !!!

the vw dealer charges anywhere from $82-100/hour shop rate so $85 is average
