dyno'd...

Hay all, just thought i would share some parts and dyno results with yous. I just bought the AutoEnginuity DynoScan.. supposedly quite accurate from all the reviews.. so i'll assume it is close... heres my parts and BHP

- DC Sports Headers (4-1)
- Apexi WS Catback
- AEM Pulleys
- AEM CAI

1st run 115.7 BHP
2nd run 133.9 BHP

If this is accurate, then thats an awefull lot of cash for a couple of HP. I believe that from the mixture on these cars that they need fuel management REALLY BAD.!! If i dont swap this engine i would search for TB, Intake Man... and a cam of course...

Does anyone know of a company that makes a good cam for D17? or intakes/TB's?

thanks all

i dano.. i think it was to do with the tire size i had on the settings.. there was also the humidity, elevation and a couple things that i dont believe were accurate ???!!? i guess plus i didnt think i drove it hard enough in the third gear.. your sposed to put it to the mat of course.. so i brought it from 1500 RPM to 6500 to the matt on that run..

The 115 sounds right. There's no way those mods gave you any more than that. Stock EX dynos around 100-110 whp.

I'll try it again tomorrow and post ... i figured that was not alot.. 127 stock (SI Veloz) plus mods.. i guessed around 140 (wishfull thinking of course).. so if 127 stock is a difference of almost 7 BHP for all that cash doesnt quite seem worth it... has anyone seen dynos of new TB's , intakes, cams ?

Someone here with an amazing head port and valve job, vafc tuning, cam gear, i/h/e, and alot more got as high as 135whp I think. That's really good, but oh the money he spent to get those numbers.

I just dyno'd again today and i got 136.3 BHP. It was a bit downhill as this was the only stretch of road with no cars on it.. so 133 BHP seems to be the norm for my dyno...

any infos on cams, TB's or intake Manifolds?

Someone recently got a KMS tb and is waiting to install it. Our plastic im is the best, since it doesn't heat up as much as metal. And as for cams, a regrind won't last very long. If you get a good pnp and 5-angle valve job, combined with boltons, you should make some nice power.
