Lightbulb Election Outcome

Just wanted to know what your thoughts are about the outcome of the election.

I was a bit surprised that the liberals did as good as they did, since the last poll before the election showed a much closer gap between the conservatives and the liberals. I was going for the liberals and I guess quite happy with the final results.

I thought the voter turnout would have increased some with all of the publicity to get out and vote, especially with the younger generation. I loved the “screw the vote” campaign that was going on . When I went to the polls I only saw a few young people and the usual gabillion seniors.

Who thinks that this minority government will last the complete term? This may only happen if the liberals team up with the NDP, and still I think they would be a seat short of having a majority (liberals – 135 + NPD – 19 = 154 out of 308 seats needed)

60.5 was the percentage of voters. Pretty sad.

Young people are gonna sink this country and the US as well. They complain about everything and do nothing to make a difference. I swear if we took MTV and all the reality shows off the air for 3 months they would all commit suicide.

My generation is gonna have to work til it's 80 because we can't turn the country over to these people. We'll just have to bring up our kids better and hope that works out somehow.
