I think you should be fine, as long as it's tuned, you shouldn't have any major problems. But keep in mind that a turbo motor is always going to be subject to more wear and tear than a stock motor.

4500, I'd pay that.

But do you know how long the wait is to get your turbo?

8 psi is too high for daily in my oppinion, your motor will just last longer. i stay around 5 daily and 8-9 @ the track.

essential speed... I can give u full directions.. its actually on my webpage
www.toronto-performance.com
its a custom turbo..
my turbo includes tial wastegate, tial bov, manifold(custom), front mount intercooler(also custom), fuel injectors, I dont think it comes with a fuel pump unless my car actually needs one, and most importabntly he says its a T3 used on mazdaspeed dual ball ebaring turbo...

Ok... first off... everything you mentioned ie. Intercooler, bov, Turbo, etc... did you buy it yourself and on top of that, paying $4,500 to install it? Or is the $4,500 for everything?

If it's $4,500 for everything, then that's a good deal.

Also... I think you'll be ok running 8lbs of boost. Ask in the Tech forum because there are tons of guys in the States running a turbo.

One more thing. The MazdaSpeed does not come with a T3 Garrett turbo. It comes with a Garrett T25 single ball bearing turbo.

Ok so it was $4,500 for everything. Then that's a good deal.

As for the Turbo. I can guarante you that the MazdaSpeed uses a T25 Garrett Single Ball Bearing Turbo.
You better mention that to the guy doing the install because you're getting screwed if he told you that the MazdaSpeed Turbo is a T3.

i dont want to sound like an *** but before u dump that kinda of amount of money into turboing your car, you should do a tonnes of research and talk to ppl with turbo on the 7th gen. it seems like u are unsure what u are getting from the shop in that $4500 package and the technical issues. do a search and you might find a lot infos on this site.

but anyway good luck with the installation and tuning

So it comes with intercooler piping also? Downpipe? Wastegate dump? ALL fittings? ALL gaskets? ALL sillicone hose couplings? Missing link? Because you do know that a honda OBD2 computer needs a missing link in order to run more than 5psi WITHOUT some kind of piggy back system... Alot more stuff than you you realize... BTW he's right mazda's OE turbos are no larger than a T25 which is VERY small... Too small in my opinion so Watch out!
