I have 18's and Im lowered so I got the camber kit.

If youre not lowered I dont think its necessary.

Yup, nitehawk is right, i have 18s too and didn't need a camber kit until i lowered the car...I know guys with 19s on their civics with no probs either.

yeah ur problem is that ur car is goin to looks like a monster truck ... just playing. ur friend musta been drunk when he was looking at ur wheels, i dun think it will be angled that much and have to use a camber kit. i have a 2 and something drop on mine and been riding for a year without a camberkit, i know i should get one but i'm just lazy... hope it helps

Everyone is correct, definitely don't need one if you're not lowered. You only need to correct your camber if you change the geometry of your suspension and your wheels look like this:

Putting on 18's will not do this at all...

Check out my galler for pics, i'm on neuspeed springs and 18" wheels, but my rear looks low cuz of my stereo...it's a 1.75 front and 1.5 rear drop.

smokedcivic has a little shameless behaviour in the past
i'm on neuspeed as well but my drop is 2.5 in front and 2.25 in the rear
i'm riding on 17's check out my gallery.

i haven't even got my alignment since i have dropped my car and my camber on my rear tires are at -2.75
my fronts aren't that bad they are at 1.25.
damn i think i should get that camber kit and also get an alignment. lol

Im on H&R Sports with 18" rims.

The ride is nice and I hardly ever scrape unless there is large incline.
