No more warranty? Happened to my friends car and it was replaced under warranty. Geez, $800 for that price you could buy Koni's

this is bullshit, u have to make them pay for it, this is a known recall on the 2001s and some of the 2002, they should pay for it

I just had mine replaced this week. They told me it was a known problem and that Honda extended the suspension warranty to 5 yr/100,000 kms. If you're at 112 kms..... you're S.O.L..... I was at 99,500 kms when I found out about the extended warranty and went first thing to get my car fixed.

actually i went back for service twice already, one was 96k and one is 104k, and they didn't tell me anything is wrong with it, then this time i got back, they told me i need to change it, i was like WTF, and i did asked them about the recall, buy they said this is not for every car, so now that i am stuck with replacing them, and thx for all the reply, i was so pissed last night, because the CS was a bitch.

well.. i thought it was for every 2001 civic, i personally have a 01 but im pretty sure i fall under that category but i changed mine a long time ago..
well, i guess you could either complain to honda canada or go to another dealership or talk to some one higher up
or invest in the KW's, i tink their pretty decent.. i never sat in a car with it

My struts are gone too... My car bounces around like a french maid on an old worn out bed.

Also my strut mount on my right side is worn out. When I get my shocks replaced over the summer (most likely.. Unless I don't care about it bouncing around like a ****)..... I'll get KYB AGX and some damn new strut mounts...

Guys about the strut thing.... I asked Honda what they replace the struts with... (what model) and they told me that they replace the blown struts with the same model thats in your car...... which would mean they will keep putting shitty struts on your car, and eventually your warranty will run out and you'll need to fork out big BUCKEROOS to replace them.... does this sound like BS, or fact?

ify ou're gonna upgrade... you better know what you want.

performance... or ride quality.

KW is pretty bumpy, somewhat the same with the stock... maybe a lil' rougher.. but you'll get used to it. but the performance in handling is amazing.

Maybe this will help..

01 model struts.... they blow. will honda replace them with the same POS struts (which will blow) or will they give you the current model (say off a 2004) same model car, should all use the same struts, but the 04's sturts are apparantly better.

which brings me back to my point. If Honda put back in your car a shitty 01 strut, then you'll have to keep going back to get them replaced... then the warranty runs out and you up ***** creak without a paddle.

does that help the previous question?

^^yah it makes sense. I guess it depends on the dealer you go to, but I know Pharoh got a different year that are supposedly better. It would suck to get the same quality ones that are just going to blow eventually anyways.
