Ok, we've had the better part of a week to figure out who wanted into this thing and I think it's about time we settle in on a team name and some other stuff for starters.
VicLX made a very good point in the other thread about the name that was being thrown around. While catchy it was unintentionally excluding those with rides that aren't '7 'th generation Civics. We got EL's over here in Canada..we gots to be proud of that..haha. We also have other makes and models as mentioned before.
This is the first step in what has to be a very well planned out process. This is a little easier in the sense that we're uniting some pre-existing groups together and bringing in others at the same time. I know that here in Ottawa we have a decent sized group that has been together for almost a year now. Some of us longer than that.
Here was my goal from the start of this....
I got tired of seeing all the people in Canada East not talking outside their immediate areas. Ottawa was in Ottawa, GTA was in GTA and london was hagin out inside a single thread in Canada East along with members from Montreal and so on..
Kinda stupid in a way that we never talked or jumped over more often. I always tried to get in to the other areas, one, because I wanted to and two, because of my job on this site.
Then I made that one thread about the team/chapter and suddenly there was a whole s.hit load of us talking back and forth about the idea. The interest is high and so is enthusiasm, which is really great but we need to talk together constructively about what we want out of this. The message I got in the other thread was 'Fun' first, everything else after.
Before I bore everyone to death with my rambling, here's what I propose to you.
Post the following...
1) Ideas for a Team name. Remembering that we're NOT ALL 7thgens here..hehe
2) In what order are you: Show, Road, Track, Fun (this is VicLX's idea...me likes it
)
3) Your local area and a nominee for a group lead in that area. This person will help to coordinate with the other leads for group events and so on.
4) If you could make one team standard, what would it be.
Like I said, this is a process but I think we can all put our heads around this and make it happen in an as organized as humanly possible fasion..haha.
Anyway, have at it. Looking forward to reading your posts.

I agree with not having 7 in the name. As far a a lead we need someone in the ottawa area who is going to take this on. We have tried to plan things and they never work out. So I suggest that maybe we pick two people. Depending on the amount of work and what actually needs to be done, I don't mind organizing a few things. BTW I like TEAM BUSTED NUT

a) Eastern Canada Import Club E.C.I.C.
b) Canadian Tuners
For me I would prefer being in this order >>> Fun, Road, Show, Track (I'm not one for racing on a track b/c I know I'd be owned in my DX
Ottawa area, and I nominate PHAROH for group lead (no I'm not looking for brownie points)
Team standard would be, MUST LIKE TO EAT AT DENNY'S!

Team Name: Rev.Kom (all the high tech in our areas), but I like Custom Theory, and Zero Limit too (NME3). Tek had some good one's once.
priorities: Fun, Track, Track, Track, Show, Road
Team Lead: hrmm...I'll nominate Caryn because she's always offering to organize things.
Standard: Zero tollerance for flaming. This is a TEAM .

"E.C.I.C. Eastern Canada Import Club...."
What if we switched it around to be "Import Club of Eastern Canada"
then our acronym could be ICEC or ICE-C (Icey...seeing as canada is cold).
sorry, that's a very homo play on words, I apologize. Just thought I'd throw it out there

ICEC reminds me too much of vanilla ice, I dunno. Usually what I do is go to random name generators for web domains to help me think of names for marketing. I'm only good with one word things.

the name definately can wait. i think a lot of us are interested in how serious this club will be and what type of committment we need members to have...so we can have a more accurate idea of how many people want in...

is this just going to be an inmort club or are we going to allow other vehicles, ie domestics, mini trucks etc......... if we are we we should make sure the club name reflects that, in other words if we all like the idea of ECIC, i think we should make it ECAC, for auto club, or ECCC for car club, just though that i would throw that out there.
I liek ECiC...its very original!
I found a good site that might give us some more ideas:
