YES it is sad but true that Importfest has been postponed.

the reason for its cancellation is obvious, the whack-out.

hydro-one and city of toronto confirmed with skydome officials that IMPORTFEST could not go on.

to be politicaly correct, if the show went on, majority of the GTA woulda suffered power failures and the government wouldnt allow this. it woulda made the city as well as IMPORTFEST look bad if it were to continue.

so yes the tentative date is set for Sept 20, 2003. but is subject to change.

On behalf of the imporfest team, i would like to appologize for the inconvenience these event have caused ppl. and hope to see you at the BIGGER and BADDER up coming show.

yeah there was a hand full of ppl who were pissed, but the MAJORITY understood. s h i t happens, as the saying goes.

ppl came from jersey, detroit and farthest was the importstyles VAN city crew. but they were cool about it. again my deepest appologies, and pls check the site for further info on the press release and upcoming show.

Not to sound selfish but I just found out today and I was soooo happy.

I didnt think I was gonna be able to go cause I had my friends wedding this weekend. (everything turned out great for them)

Now I can go.

yeah, i think some spaces may open up b/c i think that weekend there will be a NOPI show in the states so i think we may have lost a couple of vendors, so there may very well be more spots. just keep looking
