Help!--My exhaust is louder now???
This afternoon it was raining like mad in certain parts of London. My car was on the street parked on the side when it rained. A drain on the street got flooded. The entire street was flooded. It came up close to my bodykit. I drove my car home tonite and now when i punch it above 4000 rpms, the exhaust note is really loud now. It was never like this before. Did the water damage my muffler? Or is something loose on my piping? What should i do? I want my bass back!!!

drive it a enough to get the piping hot... it'll eventually evapurate and clean the system... if its still there after a good time of driving take it to the dealer...
since its an aftermarket exhaust i hope they still give it a look
good luck buddy

Wouldn't he be rusting from the inside out now that he's got water and all that sound-packing material in his muffler soaking wet with icky water with crap in it?!

Yeah, it's all 14 gauge stainless steel piping throughout. I'm just wondering if the packing in the muffler is clogged with water, and has gone bad. Just my luck.

Most likely the fibreglass packing in the muffler got soaked. Even after it completely dries the muffler might stay the way it sounds. Nows your chance to get a 5Zigen replacement

He he. Funny. I was outside with my dad. I put the car outside on my driveway since it's on a bit of an angle. Before i even started it, water came out of my muffler!! I started it up and it farted out some more. i let it rip to 7000, and my dad said it sprayed out close to 10 feet!! It's water, that's for sure. I don't wanna change mufflers, i love the sound of my car. I've heard the 5Zigens. They're raspy. I like bass.

I dropped my car off at the dealer. They are gonna look at it, put it on the hoist on an angle to see if they can get the rest of the water out.
