Maps & last minute info for April 19th BBQ meet in Fairfax! ok guys, I worked out a pre-meeting area for this meet. if you have any questions or don't understand something, speak now! we will be meeting up at Freedom Hill park at 11:15am on April 19th. here are the directions:
take I-495 west to exit 47a route 7 (West Leesburg Pike)
go about 1 mile, until you see signs for route 123
take the second exit, route 123 south torwards Vienna
once on route 123, at the first intersection, turn right onto Old Courthouse Rd.
then take the 2nd left to stay on Old Courthouse Rd. (at traffic light)
the park will be about 1/4th mile on your left. look for the red sign
once you arrive it should look something like this:
we'll take off shortly after to go to the meet at Lake Fairfax park. After we get back on the Leesburg Pike (route 7), it's about 5 miles away:

so hopfully by next saturday we'll be feeling HOT SUMMER WEATHER

Rep Power: 0 Mex are you going to meet at springfield mall before you go to the park or what. cus the thread before we said that me ren and speedracer were going to meet you at springfield mall and then roll over there. if not we need to know that way we can leave at a good time to get to the park.
Also how long will it take to get to the BBQ from the park, we have to think how many people will show up and we might night be able to get a spot that late depending on when we get there. Just a thought though.

Rep Power: 318 those of us near the springfield area are meeting up at the Mall before we head out to Freedom Hill Park to meet up with everyone else.. it doesn't matter if you arrive at freedom hill separately, just as long as we're in a big group when we go to the bbq.
the BBQ meet starts at noon, and it should take us about 15 minutes to get to Lake Fairfax Park from Freedom Hill park (so if we meet at freedom hill at 11:30am, we can hang around for a bit to wait for the late people). I strongly advise you guys not to take chain bridge road all the way to Freedom Hill park.. the speed limit is much slower and plus you'd have to deal with traffic lights and drive through the city.. it'd be quicker to hop on I-95 and get on 495 west.

Rep Power: 0 Aight Ren and Marcus here is the deal i say we meet between 1015-1030 at Bowie town center and then roll up to either springfield or just go straight to freedom hill. let me know im going to print up the directions so i have them.

I have to go the Laos Temple in Manassas for my once a year worship, or my once a year chance to see girls of my own nationality. I might be able to make it though, cuz Fairfax is like 20 mins from my house. I can probably go to the temple later.....
I don't know if i can make it. I just got a job and I don't want to be calling out the first week I start. I need the money to start doing stuff to my car. If I don't work then I will def. be there.

Rep Power: 0 Aight Mex i talked to some people and they said that they know that there is going to be alot of people going to this. they said that we should be getting there around 1145 at the latest so we can have spaces for all of us. If we can meet at 1115 and leave the park at 1130 waiting for the late ones, we could more than likely get enough spots for us, looks like we will have around 20 or more people going if everyone shows up.
i might be bringing one other person that drives a 2000 civic and he might bring his girl. Im bringing my girl aswell so hopfully everyone else will bring there girl so no one is left alone or feels lonely.
