well, being a local to the area, you can hang with me during the weekend of the hershey show. you can get a hotel around there for a decent amount, and its before the Park's season, so they wont be too expensive then. for stuff to do, there is, obviously, the park, theres also a tour at chocolate world, if youre into that, it takes you through the process of making chocolate, and best of all its FREE, plus complimentary chocolate after youre done. if youre in the mood for shopping, the Hershey outlets are just down the street. since this is a small show, as far as how well its known, the hotels in the surrounding hershey and palmyra areas will be fairly cheap.
ok, now carlisle, for people looking for a room, id suggest going outside of the carlisle area, into surrounding towns, id also be willling to hang out with some people that weekend too.
pm me if anyone is interrested in somone to help them around while here. hope that helps.

I grew up in Hershey, lived there for 18 or so years... other than the park there is jack **** to do. The fake tour at chocolate world is a joke, and the outlets aren't very good either, but as long as you go with some other peeps I'm sure you can have a good time getting wasted in the hotel room!
I rarely check this site for anything other than DIYs, but I'll check back closer to the date, cause I may be up in Hershey that weekend visiting family and friends. I would offer some people to stay at my parents house, but I don't think they would appreciate me renting out their rooms

wrteam is dominatin IW this year since we got ****ed over the last...
as for carlisle its gonna be insane. They are expecting 500,000 people over the course of the show, and expect anyone with a room along the Carlisle/Harrisburg pike to be watched like a hawk by the ****head cops around here (ie 1mph over=ticket)

oh ya, cops were bad last year, but i have a feeling they will be even worse this year. as for staying in surrounding areas, makes for to long of a trip saturday morning. we sat in traffic for 3 hours saturday morning at 9 oclock and we were 10 min drive form the fairgrounds. ppl that stayed outside of carlisle said it was even worse getting in. plus i like all the action that goes down in carlisle then. so i paid the extra cash.
