There is a show every weekend until september practically. Did you go to battle of the imports last weekend, it wasnt a bad show. I am trying to get into Xtreme imports VA beach club.

there aint really anymore shows going on in va.beach. all the big shows are out of town now. Oh yeah if u trying to join xtreme imports u better have alot of stuff on ur car becuase they already have a 2001 civic red and hers is complete.

Yeah. The one from Team Xtreme is completely done. IMO, I think it looks like crap with that bodykit and everything. The car looks very rushed. I am not impressed by it at all. They could have taken much more time and done it right. My guess is that they wanted to be one of the first in the area to get done.

As for shows, the last one was at Tallwood High. Unless you guys want to start your own show and hold it in a parking lot somewhere, I dunno where there's going to be a big one.

Just to let you know, there's quite a few teams in the area. Whether or not they're looking for members, I'm not too sure. I do know of 2 teams that are always looking for people - HSR and Drop Zone. Drop Zone is a new team that was just created and are affil'd with HSR. The team is really small and is getting their start and is trying to recruit members.

No need to talk to Brian, I have talked to him on numerous occasions. He wants a body kit on my car as one of my mods before I join. I already have a bit done to my civic if you take a look at my ride under the members section. I have a PS2 with 2 LCDs, AEM Caold air, AEM pulley kit, Konig rims w/ Kuhmo tires, Neon underbody, and I am lowering it this Saturday.

As far as the show in WA I am not sure if the team is rolling up there or not. I will try to find out soon.

As far as the red civic, I think it looks really good. The only part I dont like is the flames, I think they could have been done with a little more care, they are rough around the edges. Overall the car is increadable, the system, lights, and ps2 are nicely set up in the trunk.

I would like to roll out to some other clubs meetings to see what they are all about, however I am still set on Xtreme for now, several of my friends/ co-workers are in Xtreme and it is truly one of the more elite clubs in VA beach. Anyone at Battle of the imports would have seen that the members/ team took a toal of six trophies, best civic, best audio, best team, etc... The club has been around for 3 years and the shop 1, anyone who has stopped by the shop has seen the tons of trophies at the door. Not to mention everyone in the club is pretty laid back and easy going.

Well, when I first saw the red 7th gen they did, it looks really rushed. I think it was the first or second weekend after they had completed it. I saw it up at the McD's up on Independence and Bonney near the Pembroke area. She had the Wings West kit and a pair of TYC altezzas on it. I didn't get to see what kind of I/H/E or I.C.E was installed as they were getting ready to go eat. Maybe stuff has changed since then. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

As for the different clubs around, I know that HSR and Drop Zone meet ~9ish Friday nights behind Planet Music on Virginia Beach Blvd. Quite a few guys meet up there too. I've been meaning to go one night as there's a couple of kids that want me to join Drop Zone, but I've been working quite a few Friday nights as of late. I will get out eventually. As for Team Xtreme Imports being one of the more elite clubs in the area, I dunno. I actually hear more about Team Turismo, Speedline, and Ultraspeed to name a few. I didn't get to go to Batte of the Imports either cause I was working! [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/IMG] I've stopped by the shop a few times and I've seen the trophies, and had a look. Not many of them a first place winners when I looked. We're talking like 5th, 6th, even as bad as 8th place trophies. I've met a few of the guys and they're really pretty cool guys.

As for the shop, I'm a little less than impressed. I've called them a few times today to get a price on an AEM SRI for my ride and I've talked to two different people and they have yet to actually get back with me. They keep asking me why I want an SRI instead of a CAI. I can't blame them for wanting to push the parts they've got in their store, but they told me that it wouldn't be too hard to get the parts either. They apparently were surprised too when I told them I could get the AEM SRI for $199 before shipping and handling, but they told me that they should be able to beat it. My guess is the reason they haven't called me back with a price is because they can't. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] I'm definately going to have to roll in there one day soon whenever I get a chance to see what they've got recently as the last time I was there was the weekend before the grand opening.

Edit: I want to retract my current statement about the shop. Brian just called be back with a price on the AEM SRI for $180! $20 cheaper than I can find it online! Very impressed. He said he'd need 50% down and the other 50% when he gets it in. He's also carrying some of the other stuff that I want after talking to him. Brian's a pretty cool guy. Definately going to have to roll down to the shop one day when I get some free time and talk to him and see what else I can get.

cant 4get Team Split-Second, there car club i think is alot bigger then Xtreme imports,
but i think the red civic got alot of air bubbles on the flames, but i think its still hot
it got hooked up in a short amount of time...

yeah i said that the second time i saw the car at the greenville show the interior and the flames were really rushed. other than that the car is hot. I was parked next to her at the first show of the season in richmond. We talked for awhile the girl that owns it is very nice. and she knew what she wanted for her car and got it. But they should have taken their time and done it right but it is still phat to me. Hey taz thanx for supporting the other clubs. Toretto (chris) is the owner or team turismo, Acekicker (me, Curt) im in Speedline and ultraspeed is phat and of course SSR they are the more dominant clubs they have been around longer than Xtreme but yeah if i owned a shop i bet my team would have phat cars they all get their stuff for like 75% off. no wonder all their cars are done. and At the Tallwood car show 2001 civics had their own class and me and chris won trophies.

75% off for members of Xtreme...I wouldnt go that far, I know they do get a discount but it isnt really much to brag about. I havent been in VA for too long, I have heard of a lot of the clubs everyone is talking about, Speedline being one of the main ones. Tek Toys was also another on my list, never got the chance to talk to any of the members yet.

Meeting up with everyone sounds like a good idea, I would like to check out everyone elses ride. Putting on my coilovers finally this Sat so I will have to show it off again [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG]

That would be pretty cool, I would like to see speedline and what they are all about. I am stationed at *** on a Destroyer, but I live in VA Beach near rosemont. Well, I'm working on getting into Team Drop Zone. When I join, I'll be one of the co-founders. It's a long story on how it started, but it's like this - my little bro, a friend of his and I were all sitting around thinking up names. We came up with hundreds. Finally, I came up with the name Drop Zone and everybody kinda liked it. Well, seeing as how the 3 of us came up with the name and agreed on it, we're all co-founders. So, if I ever decide to get off my rear and actually join the team, I'll be one of the co-founders. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

Anyway - I've actually met AceKicker when he was trying to get a meet going about a month ago up @ Lynnhaven Mall. I was actually working and it was kinda raining, so noone showed up. I think it'd be great to get together and have everybody show off their rides, even though mine is nothing to look at yet. I have an idea of what I want to do to my car, but it's just a funds issue. yeha i went to the show i was the only one from speedline that went there were alot of ultraspeed cars there but i rolled up there with team precision. well so everyone that lives in or near va.beach or if anyone that doesnt live near here that would like to set up a meet lets all figure out something. I sais in another forum that we meet either at super tuner nights on august 3 at the scope or we meet at discount auto sound in lynnhaven for car wars on the 3 also. So that is my suggestion.
