Nice driving roads around NYC

I'm from MD so there are a bunch of nice twisty roads to drive on. But here in NY there are just pothole filled roads with stop lights every 2 ft. I was wondering if there are any roads with nice views and nice curves. Especially now that spring is here and the weather will be nice.

I heard of something like that.... my dad brought me to 1 of those roads.... if anyone is familiar with Yonkers and up, is it Saw Mill, or certain parts of it??
