CB scanner... like u can hear what they saying and crap. i need this more than radar detector... cuz i cant afford to get anyother big a$$ ticket... specially in other state... =P

Scanners are kinda obsolete these days for that kind of stuff since alot of the police radio communication signals are digital. Don't know where you live but maybe your town has not gone ditgital yet. If they have not gone digital, take a trip to your local radioshack and look through a 10 dollar book of local goverment frequencies and look up your town's police freq. Ask for the book. They'll know what you mean.

you take the freq numbers you looked up and enter it to the scanner to hear you police department's talking. You don't need a fancy one. The cheapest working one what will take the frequency you need is enough. Kinda hard to avoid a ticket like this tho.

A regular CB on ch.14 will sometimes get you a heads up from other driver's. Radar detector's are better for avoiding speed traps.

u know u gave me the detail for radar detector... i need scanner.. like u can actually hear what they saying...? u know.. lol but thanks for the info..
