I have lost all faith that I had in this supposedly "free" country. A bill was passed in Va that would cost you $50 if you show your underwear in an "indecent" manner. How long before we can't take a **** without having some ******* senator telling us how we can wipe our ***.

Either the public voted to have this.
Or, not enough voted not to have this done.
It is a state problem not a country one.
Guess the strippers/escorts are screwed in that state!
Unless the senator getting a lap dance!
LOL.
It could be worse you could live in MORON Utah and have dry weekends were you couldn't by alcohol.
But you can have all these wive.
man now that is Bss Aackward!

Okay. I'm from Virginia. Let me give you the story here ...
I don't mind that this bill was passed. I think it's a good thing. I really don't want to be walking down the street or in the mall or whatever and see what pair of underwear you put on today. I could really care less. This is basically for those people that buy jeans that are *way* too big and they have to hold them up when they walk. I see this law as good.
It's a $50 fine for indecent exposure. I don't think it's all that bad. If you can afford $50 for that ticket, then you can afford $50 for pants that actually fit you. Is there any purpose in buying clothes that fall off of you when you walk?
Also, Virginia isn't a state. We're a commonwealth. Not sure what that means though.

That is a stupid law... how will it be inforced? can people no longer wear bathing suits in public? what if the girl is wearing a bikini bottom under her jeans? is that Indecent? it may have been pased... but its easily going to be beaten in court.

No. It's a good thing. At least our lawmakers are trying to do something to clean up society a bit.
I'm sorry, but I hate when I'm out and I can see some guy basically walking around with his pants down around his ankles and his underwear hanging out. There's no need for that. There's no need for my little cousins to see that kind of crap. There should be no reason for me to have to cover up their eyes, so they don't see that kind of indecency.
But you apparently can't get past this fact about it. Will it be enforced? It'll be hard, but I'm sure it will be? Will it be argued? Of course.
We had a similar case here in Virginia Beach where some girls got charged with indecent exposure this summer. They were charged with it because they were waitresses at one of the popular resturants at our resort area. They were out on the street, in there waitress uniforms, which consisted of basically a sports bra and a pair of boyshorts. The girls were standing there, outside the establishment, trying to invite customers in. Cops saw them standing there and charged them with indecent exposure because the very bottom part of their butt was hanging out of the shorts. They tried to fight it, but lost.
So, once again, I don't see anything wrong with this law. Why do you feel like you need to wear pants that don't fit you and that you have to show the world your underwear?

IT HURTS NO ONE!! I cannot believe that you can't see this is just a way for the God damn government to demonstrate it's power. You're blind. Oh and if you read one of my previous posts then you will realize that I hate seeing that **** as well but I see no point in making someone shell out 50$ for it. And what happens if they don't pay that $50, yeah that's right a warrant. Give me a break.

You say it hurts no one. Are you sure about that? Like I said earlier - do you the young kids need to see that? I don't think so. But then again, I guess the children don't matter either.

Mark is a commie, I know that for a fact...
Everyone chill out...no need for yelling.
I agree the law is rediculous and that is where I will end my discussion. I don't particularly want to see it, but it doesn't hurt me in any manner. People can run around naked for all I care. Viva la Canada!
BTW did you know oral sex is illegal in VA too? Mark, care to comment on that one?

And yes Rob, I knew that oral sex was illegal in VA. But it's not illegal if it's happening when you drive from VA to MD, now is it?
Also, I don't know if you know this, but it's illegal to have any for of sex, other than missionary, in VA.I'll be the first to admit that VA has some of the most whacked out laws around. I guess that goes all the way back to the 1700s and us basing quite a few of our laws from the bible and from England.
