nyc, the village
alright, i need some help from some of you who are familiar with the city, in specific, the village...
my lady friend turns 21 and wants to go into the village to party... but yeah, i'm a jersey kid and don't know the city for jack...
so do you guys know any places we should aim for? bars? hotels? or even just streets to hit up?

i live in brooklyn and go to school in the city. the village is alot of fun. def hit up a comedy club like comedy cellar. get info online. hilarious, cheap admission. lots of nice cafes and cool stores everywhere. very tight parking...

hmm there's one place called "Tinga Tinga"
i think it is a party place, they charge $60 bucks for an hour?? or something like that, but you can bring your own food, drinks and all, itz also FREE KARAOKE.
I've seen many people going there.
It's in Manhattan
Madison Ave. between 32nd ~33rd st.
check out that place

bleeker and mcdougal. if she wants to go to the village thats where most of the action is. theres a cool bar called 1851 or something like that thats really good...cheap drinks. a bunch of others in the area also. if you just walk around that area you will find something. if you walk up bleeker towards the east side, and make a right by senior swanky's, theres a cool hooka bar next to it.
if youre more into the club scene, avalon and webster hall are in the village area also, but theyre kind of the typical club scene...
theres a really cool place called pravda. its on 281 lafayette st. between E houston and prince street...i think. but if you dont turn on lafatette and keep going east on houston the mercury lounge is down there. ive hears about it, never been there, but the fact that ive heard about it is probably an indication that theres stuff going on there. all depends on what scene youre into.

we're looking for more of a bar or even lounge type scene... we're trying to skip the whole club thing so we can actually just chill and talk as a large group somewhere...
you're all more than welcome to come, btw
