question

after getting rejected at the motor vehicle for auto inspection.. I was told that i have 45 days to fix the car for reinspection...
Today, i went to honda dealer to get engine oil and filter changed... and one of the salesmen there told me I can wait until that 45 days period over and get inspection from other gas stations paying around $70.
Since MV has my car's info on inspection, I thought that I HAVE to get reinspection from MV, now the saleman says that I dont have to when 45 days period is over...
Does anyone know about these kinda stuff? If the salesman is right.. I will definitely wait and pay 70bucks for the inspection... stock catback and muffler is over $600...

amazing how that dealership salesperson actually wanted to help you out! got to a gas station like he said. They usually have a double bay garage with a big sign that says "Inspection" or "PIC" (private inspection center) or something about DMV

I failed my last inspection this passed winter. *** busted me for a faulty gas cap (which was oem) and headbulbs "too blue" (which was oem bulbs) Ordered new parts for the receipt of proof, but I kept the original parts on the car. Miraculously I passed when i went back with the same parts

Waited 2 hours in the cold that day. And to top it all off he sloppily stuck the inspection sticker on the windshield It's got a huge airpocket that inflates when it gets hot out. Next time I'm just gonna go to a gas station

I dunno if you guys saw the new New Jersey DMV commercial yet. It's all sweet sounding like they care and they showed our new licenses (wide is for adults, vertical is for minors) etc. They even mentioned "You may have heard the horrific tales about the NJ DMV, but we're different now" LOL HAHA and they call themselves the "MVC" now too

It's like my dealership. They added a new waiting room, internet room, and a bigger drink cooler, but they still give the same shitty service

If you wait til after the 45 days and get pulled over, you're screwed.
When I went to a gas station to ask for an inspection... they said MV has my information on their computer so I HAVE to back to MV to get inspection after fixing it... is this true? or can I go somewhere else to get inspection?...
... how many times do I have to ask same question?..
